I've had this mount holding my 3D Maglights at the ready behind my bedroom door and in the kitchen. I live in L.A., earthquake country. I mounted the holders into a stud and they've been holding my Mags at the ready for over five years. I remove them periodically to test and or use them. They lock in place very firmly. Mount the light lens down so dust won't collect on the lens. They don't slip out.

This is perfect and better than expected for my Tactikka Plus. Material is fairly firm and protective. Though I wouldn't say it's flat out "hard," I think what there is is actually better if it's dropped, and I'm not worried about packing or storing with this. Reminds me of kevlar. Space is just right for my Tactikka Plus with its strap, and I can get a spare set of AAA's in the little pocket inside as well if there's need. There's a smaller Petzl out there for the Zipka units -- the E44990. This is the larger E43990 for the others (Tikka, Tactikka, etc.), and is exactly what I needed.

I own two mag lite rechargeables. I place them each near doors in our home. When the power goes out, I know right where it is. No fumbling. I LOVE THIS LIGHT!!!

I got a hold of two of these during a special sale that included this kit free for every 2 AA Maglite flashlight you bought. But it's still a great buy at $5.00. What I like most about these kits are the rubber octagon lens hood, and the lanyard. The lanyard is long enough to be useful, and the rubber hood keeps the flashlight from rolling around when you need to set it somewhere and need the light not to move. I've had a lot of trouble with this in the past, and though it might seem a little pricey for those two items, I wouldn't own a 2 AA Mag without at least the rubber lens protector/hood, and having an extra lens is nice since they do get scratched up pretty easily. They are easy to use, & the red comes in handy for night vision. A clear, unscratched lens is always nice. The mounts are handy for storing & quick access. Anyone who uses a mag lite should have these extras.

These lenses are very hard to pop-in and out of my petzelLED headlamps, I almost thought I was going to break them at first. The colors are nowhere near as pure as having colored LEDs, but seem to do the trick never the less. Only problem I seem to have is misplacing the clear lens I took out when I put a colored one in.
