The flashlight was delivered in a timely fashon but didn't work. The included batteries worked fine but no light. Amazon won't replace the light because they are not the seller. All I get is a refund. When that comes through I'll decide if it's worth the hassle to try again.

I live in San Diego where the power supplier is like in a Third World country, San Diego Gas & Electric. With frequent outages, I have several backup lights. I just purchased this Garrity because of the crank-up. I have several Garrity rechargeable lights and they have all been excellent. This little gem is brighter than I expected and I tested it as soon as I got it. I wound it for one minute, turned it on and it still had power at 30 mintues, then began to dim at 35. I wound it again and it recharged like a charm. This lightweight flashlight is nearly all plastic, but compared to the others I've tried, it's much brighter and a great price. It also has a lifetime guarantee.

Nice little flashlight and surprise me with how much light it throws. I keep it in the nightstand and use if when walking the dog in the dark.

These reviews are supposed to be about how the product works from people who have used it, not an opinion about potential buyers. At first glance, I thought this lantern did not work- it only received one star! FYI, not all lanterns are used by campers. My 87 year-old mother, who worrys about power outages, has a Coleman lantern like this on her table. A remote-control could help her in such a situation. Coleman products are usually excellent, this one should be the same.

I have three of these and two have failed. One where the plastic faceplate just popped off one day. The only way to keep it on is with superglue. The second just quit altogether. Heavy duty? Not in my book.

I purchased this item along with the similar 9 LED flashlight selling for less than half. With the two flashlights side by side in total darkness, I can barely see much of a difference in brightness. Sure this has 28 LED's but the LED's on this unit are smaller than the 9 on the smaller flashlight. The head on this is rather big and awkward as well. Money aside, I like the 9 LED version better for its sleek barrel and lighter weight.

i tryed this out on ketchup in the yard in the dark and it seems to bring out the red color as far as blood inthe woods id guess that it will work the same. hopefully i see all my deer drop but ill have it if i need it. even if it works a little its better than losing a deer to a lost blood trail

This is a super tough, small light that produces a lot of light for how small it is. The LED emits a nice, white light w/o any bad spots like some lights do. Streamlight's lifetime warranty is stellar. I have sent back two of their rechargeable lights after being submerged for an hour and they shipped them back fixed within two weeks! No need for a receipt!
