This pedometer is the best I have found and keeps a very accurate record of the daily steps you take. When combined with a great deal from Amazon, ability to upload to the health management software, and ability to print for your records... its just a great product. Battery life is just as discribed - mine was almost 6 months to the day. Highly recommend.

$30 shipped to your door. It's hard to find a decent watch at Walmart for $30 - just think about that. This thing works, it's simple, yes, but it does what it's supposed to do. It doesn't record any data, upload it to your pc, or do anything other than report your heart rate. For those of you who want detailed data, avg. hr, max hr. then this unit is not for you. I run a lot of hills and believe that my avg. hr. would be misleading given that my hr. tends to drop into the low aerobic zone down hill and will climb into the 90%-100% range on the hardest incline. I suppose if you're running on a flat track then the avg. would be a good way of measuring the hr you spent most of your time at. My condolences to the poor folks who trashed the Schwinn computers. I bought a 12 function unit and got it to work right away ... UNTIL I moved it by a few spokes to balance out a reflector. Then ... it STOPPED WORKING ... TOTALLY. Being an engineer, I scratched my head for a few minutes while analyzing the problem and then laughed. I moved the magnet about 1/4 inch down the spoke and it started working fine again. The problem is in basic electromagnet physics. If you manage to mount the magnet extremely close to the MIDDLE of the sensor bar, the generated electric pulse will null out and it will look like your unit is dead no matter how close you get the magnet to the sensor. I researched different golf GPS units before deciding on the Garmin. (I had actually gone to the store to purchase the 2.5 Sky Caddie, but after looking at it, I realized I couldn't read the information on the screen without wearing my reading glasses!) I am very satisfied with the Garmin Golf Logix. It was easy to download the software; and easy to save and load golf courses. The display is very easy to read at 6 feet away. Its lightweight and waterproof. I am normally a 10-12 handicap, 2 weeks ago I had my first sub-par round, and my first eagle the following weekend. What more can I say?!

first couple of times i could not get a heart rate . . . i got a little concerned :) . . . finally figured that i can not get my heart rate while i was running. was able to get heart rate when i was at rest. i also bought one for my mother-in-law to use with her personal trainer, she loves it!

This watch has been a terrific part of running training, in wet weather, sweat, and still runs well and looks good after 2 years. I really like the lap timer function a lot, and often use it concurrently with the chrono function. Great watch. That's the watch itself. It may last forever, but most likely not on your wrist. The band is it's only problem. Mine is held together with Superglue. I like the sleek look, it wears really well, it's comfortable, but it breaks/rips over time. I periodically have to superglue it back together. Finding a replacement band is really not an option, making the watch, unfortunately, a 'disposable' item. It seems to be a common issue, and I would buy a new one that has a band made of a stronger material (hello, Timex?). The band became a problem after about 18 months. Batteries ... Read More
