I purchased these binoculars specifically for use in theatres for live performances and they worked perfectly. Even though I was seated in the second tier of the theatre, I could bring everything in very clearly. They also are very good for outsight viewing. They are compact enough to carry easily and the price was very reasonable. I would purchase these again and recommend them to future buyers.

This actually surprised me on the quality of the binocs for my 3 year old grandson. He loves birds and has had a great time using this. Perfect choice for the occasion. Good value!

Bought these after the glowing reviews for a gift. They were not the caliber I expected from the reviews. Bulky and heavy. Optics good but you have to press your eyes very close to the viewers to see well, and I felt there was not enough of a wide angle to justify the bulk. Spend some more $ if you can do so and invest in about a $250-$400 pair-- I learned the hard way that you get what you pay for--you'll be a lot happier. Thanks to Amazon and their great return policy!

I purchased this telescope this past December as a Christmas present for my 10 year old sister. She had always wanted a telescope so she could sit on the grass at night, staring at the stars. When sailing, a monocular might make optical focus quicker than with binoculars, and this monocular in particular makes great sense. Here are some boating factors for the Brunton Echo: (1) This can cost $13 more elsewhere (before shipping). (2) Lanyard support and case is handy, and (3) customer reviews seem good for the price and seem accurate. (4) Another factor is 7x magnification - the max advisable for boats (given motion, a higher magnification is much harder to use). (5) The clarity here is really good for a budget scope, and (impressively) one can use it (likely) while wearing sunglasses or goggles. (6) Single-hand use is easy. (7) Five stars from me in the low-budget boating category.

My family and I go up to the Yellowstone area every year and enjoy looking for wolves and bears. This year I decided to do like the professionals and buy a spotting scope. I found a highly rated one on Amazon, but then I stumbled on these binoculars. While the scope was good, the binoculars were amazing. The main advantage of a scope is that it holds still so you can see the animals. The problem is sometimes people bump the scope with their eyes thus moving and it and inconveniently the animals decide to move as well. With these binoculars the wide field of view makes it easy to find the animals and with image stabilization there is no problem seeing them clearly.
