Norton AntiVirus v.11.0 works great for my PPC G5 Mac running 10.4.11. It installed without any issues, and it's cheap insurance considering all the threats on the Internet. I haven't found any viruses yet, but I do transfer files from my Win XP system - there I've found several in the past year. Bottom line - good peace of mind.

I bought this for my work MacBook so that I could continue to run a few essential XP applications. Pros: * Seamless XP App integration with Unity * Free upgrade to 2.x * Downloadable utility to import your old Windows PC image saves a ton of reinstall work. * Plenty of available VMware images containing Open Source OS's available to tinker with. Cons: * Watch the fine print on the rebate - I sent mine in > 30 days later and the request was denied. When OS 10.4 was released much was expected by the consumer and OS 10.4 delivered. Not that it was the perfect release as it was followed up with upgrades but the first release was solid. Stable and easy to use, after installation I found no problems on my mac. And even more so enjoyed the new features that it offers. 10.4 is the final version that can be run on most G3 macs. It will be in demand as consumers look to upgrade their G3s. Many chose not to upgrade when it was released but for different reasons want to move up now. It's solid, dependable and can be upgraded to 10.4.11 for free from Apple's web site.

I have a Macbook on which I use a program called VMWare Fusion to run Windows programs like Quicken. The external hard drive that I use to back up my Windows programs did not work for my Mac programs because the Mac did not recognize the NTFS file system on the hard drive. I bought this to replace a 2006 version of SystemWorks, which was a cheaper approach than renewing the license. The set-up took a little while (maybe 20 minutes) and required a few restarts, but really nothing I wasn't expecting. One thing I want to stress is that I did NOT have to remove the old version. I have no idea why this wasn't required for me, as so many other people seemed to have to do an uninstall first. The separate install for the Virus Protection was a little strange (why wouldn't I want it installed?) but, again, no issues with the process. It's running now and seems fine. No performance hit or anything like that. All in all, it seems good.

This is indeed just for the Mac side. BTW, VmWare Fusion comes with a one year subscription for McAfee anti-virus for PC.

Not sure about some of the negative reviews of this product... I hate to say it, but I feel like the bad reviews are coming from people that do not know what they are doing in regards to setting up a server. This is a much improved implementation of server software over 10.4. Clean interface and very easy to use assuming you understand DNS, OD, WGM, and so on. As a Macintosh Consultant I have installed and setup several servers running 10.5 and they have all ran very smooth with very minimal downtime.

Excellent software. Easy to install. Bargain price. Each registered copy can be installed on up to three computers, allowing customized safety perimeters for multiple users on each. Safe Eyes makes it a breeze to control and monitor your child's use of the internet. After typing in all the customized data for each of my six children, I was thrilled to see that Safe Eyes remembered all settings when I installed it on other computers in our home. Now each of my children has personalized log in information that allows them safe access to the internet on any computer we own, and they can't lock me out with a password change. Even my computer savvy teens haven't figured out how to beat this software without me knowing about it. Score one for Mom!
