Bought this in August 2008 and I'm very happy with it. I mostly use the song editor to create vocal exercises which I use to train with everyday. I've never taken singing lessons (and can't afford them at the moment), so this is a great way to train my voice and ears. The sing-along pitch tracking system had me singing on key in no time, at least while I'm watching the screen. I have not had any problems running this program on Windows Vista 64-bit. The lessons are good for learning how the program works, though they are obviously geared toward kids. It's fun to mess around on this with friends as well. For $20 (and I noticed the price is dropping further), this program is WELL worth it.

I purchased this product as a replacement for my old, OLD 3D Home Architect. Having used software of this type before, it was very easy to use right out of the box.

It comes with a tutorial which may be helpful to someone who is not familiar with how to use different features, but I was more impressed with the online Home Talk user forums. If there is a question as to how to accomplish something, chances are it has been discussed there.

Overall, I find that Home Designer software is a much more stable program than my old 3D Home Architect; (it hasn't 'crashed' yet) and gives me plenty of options to play with.

Although this version is nowhere close to the Pro version, it its ease of use and attractive pricing make this a good choice for anyone who wants ... Read More

A few months ago, I was searching for a product to convert my VHS tapes to DVD format, as I am moving in the coming months and wanted to "downsize" a bit. The first product I chose was this one, and I was severely disappointed for a couple of reasons:

First, any product of this nature involves a bit of an investment. One must buy DVD's and cases, as well as an audio/video cord (and probably an extra long one, if you don't have an extra VCR laying around, as it needs to be pretty near your computer).

Now, that investment wouldn't be so bad if the finished product was satisfactory, but sadly that probably will not be the case. From my own experience (with a new Gateway computer), I found that the newly-created DVD turned out to be less quality than the original tape ... Read More

We used Autoroute in Amsterdam for 3 days. Using the Microsoft GPS Antenna supplied with Streets and Trips 2008. AutoRoute Europe was the worst package I have ever worked with and was continuously slow to warn about turns and frequently planned turns the wrong way on one way streets. It was enough to convince me to by a TomTom GPS for the car and what a difference. The TomTom is an excellent product and will certainly leave you much less frustrated.

I grew up with Spiderman....on TV as TV movies and cartoons...but I always thought that there was more to it than that.

Getting this box set makes the world of Spiderman come alive. I completely missed out on the original stories of Gobbie, Doc Oc, Venom, Carnage....all that....but no longer. I like seeing where the world starts and comes all the way through 2006.

I also have the Iron Man DVD and will most likely pick up the Incredible Hulk and possibly the Avengers set as well.

I've liked X-Men, so that might be a future purchase as well.

I'm a writer, here's my story. I bought Final Draft mainly because I felt I needed to upgrade from Microsoft Works or get left behind. Well, I've worked with Final Draft for a while, and to be honest I do not think it was worth the $150.00 dollars + postage. It's very hard to format scripts, especially ones that had been saved in other formats - it adds all these extra spaces and it's terribly time consuming to remove them. Also, it sometimes adds in a character heading when one isn't needed and it's very difficult to get rid of those showing up all the time.
I cannot figure out how to use the Tagger part at all. The most disappointing part for me was that it DOES NOT read the scripts back - it does however save your script in a new format that you cannot add to. And finally my last complaint ... Read More

I looked at a few software programs and downloaded free trials and none came close to the power and ease of use of this program.

The program offers many options that you can spend hours looking through. The plant library has a good selection. You can search for plants pretty easy, name, zone, sun requirement and about 20 other attributes. A blank search with no specific requirements showed 3,784 plants.

I found that it was good to design the landscaping in 2D so I could see the flower beds, patio, paths, etc. and where they were located with respect to the house. The 3D tools are helpful in visualizing how it should then look in `real life'. I definitely made changes to my original idea after using the software. There are built-in templates you can use - they're okay if you don't ... Read More

40.Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer - Complete Comic Edition from: GIT Corp

Software : Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer - Complete Comic Edition
The Bad: The scans are of old comic books (not the Marvel original artwork) and they include the staple holes! They also include various graffitti such as ink stamps from a local comic book store - surely a better copy could have been found. A comparison between the first Fantastic 4 comic online at Marvel.com and the same comic on DVD shows that the online version is much more vibrant and colorful. A little more work (such as using photoshop to get rid of those damn staple holes) would have made this collection a lot more attractive.

The Good: You own the comics (you can only view, not download, online). You also get the ads from the comic books as they appeared originally - making them a virtual time machine.
