I purchased the Version 16 of the Family Tree Maker and was extremely pleased. It loaded without any glitches and captured all the data and notes I had entered in the 1994 version of Family Tree Maker. I could not remove the old version but V16 loaded anyhow and has no conflicts. Its a great program.

Microsoft Publisher 2007 Version Upgrade I purchased this upgrade expecting some new tools and better templates but I was disappointed. Not much new in my opionion. I like the older versions better. As Publisher gets upgraded over the years it doesn't change enough to make the purchase of the upgraded program worth it. Save your money.

Bought this in August 2008 and I'm very happy with it. I mostly use the song editor to create vocal exercises which I use to train with everyday. I've never taken singing lessons (and can't afford them at the moment), so this is a great way to train my voice and ears. The sing-along pitch tracking system had me singing on key in no time, at least while I'm watching the screen. I have not had any problems running this program on Windows Vista 64-bit. The lessons are good for learning how the program works, though they are obviously geared toward kids. It's fun to mess around on this with friends as well. For $20 (and I noticed the price is dropping further), this program is WELL worth it.

I purchased this product as a replacement for my old, OLD 3D Home Architect. Having used software of this type before, it was very easy to use right out of the box. It comes with a tutorial which may be helpful to someone who is not familiar with how to use different features, but I was more impressed with the online Home Talk user forums. If there is a question as to how to accomplish something, chances are it has been discussed there. Overall, I find that Home Designer software is a much more stable program than my old 3D Home Architect; (it hasn't 'crashed' yet) and gives me plenty of options to play with. I understand that everyone has the right to freedom of speech, but what about common human decency? I'm a fan of morbid humour, but when you are making fun of killing an innocent creature, I think it has gone too far. Would NP have released this cover if the gun were being held to the head of a baby or a racial minority? I'm not talking about politically correct humour. I am merely saying that it is unfortunate that NP has not only included this front cover image, but the back cover clearly indicates that the threat has been carried out. It's not about being tasteful. It's about actually crossing a line into cruelty. So, this product sucks and it insults the intelligence and the level of humor of NP fans.

The product offers similar features to Adobe's Illustrator but lacks in special effects such as easy type warping and 3-D objects. It did not allow me to save as a pdf file. This software was easy to use even for a beginner. It has some of the same tools you would find in a vector program i.e. pen, line, shapes, selections, etc. Building new color swatches was a snap too. When you needed to look for a feature or option, they were also easy to find, and you did not have to waste a lot of time digging. Overall a very good product.

We used Autoroute in Amsterdam for 3 days. Using the Microsoft GPS Antenna supplied with Streets and Trips 2008. AutoRoute Europe was the worst package I have ever worked with and was continuously slow to warn about turns and frequently planned turns the wrong way on one way streets. It was enough to convince me to by a TomTom GPS for the car and what a difference. The TomTom is an excellent product and will certainly leave you much less frustrated.
