Purchased this along with 4BG of RAM for my Black MacBook. Installed Windows XP as the "Virtual Machine". Everything works flawlessly. Now I have my Mac and my favorite Windows programs all in the same place! Very VERY useful. For those that don't know. This software "tricks" Windows XP into thinking it is installed on it's own computer. In reality, Windows XP is installed on the Mac Hard Drive. So when you start VMWare, it starts Windows XP in its own Mac window. You even see the Windows XP startup dialog! So imagine running XP in a Window with Mac OS X and you have the idea. You can also run the XP (or Vista, or whatever) operating system "full screen". The best way to have the best of both operating systems.

If your operating system is for Windows Vista I'd advise you to stay away from this program! I purchased this program in Feb.2008 and figured I had plenty of time to install it on my computer. Well, it won't install using Vista as the operating system. I'd probably wouldn't have had a problem if I was running it on my old computer, Window XP was it's operating system but I brought a new one. So don't buy this unless you check to make sure it'll run on your computers operating system! I'd rate this 0 stars since I can't use it but the system wouldn't allow it so it has 1 star!

I can't start without saying this first, I received my copy from the mail yesterday. Amazon sent it inside a bubble wrap envelope, I expected to receive it in a box. The box was totally beat up when I received it and the manufacturer packaged a scratched, almost unacceptable CD inside the CD case. This gave me a second thought about ordering from Amazon again. I was thinking of returning the item but gave it a try anyway. After trying a few times, I was able to install it in my computer. The program itself is great. It's true that the learning curve is the biggest challenge but the box comes with a 410-page reference manual. Although I also bought Poser 7 Revealed by Murdock to get started with the program. I have used poser 5, poser 6, and when poser 7 came out I had to of course get it. I can say I have never been more unhappy with a product then this one. It constantly crashes. I have been helped by E-Frontier only to redo what they tell me to do over and over. This software for Vista is very unstable, and updates from the software developer are slow. I have updated each patch, redo this, redo that.. Load..Set, reset..try...CRASH!! I have a PC that cost more then a good used car, and I am tired of the company telling me..Update your drivers. If your looking for a redenering software..Dont get this if your running Vista. If you are, look at poser 6 or look to a company that beta tests software for future OS before release.

If your just starting to get into 3D art this is a great place to start before getting heavy into things like lightwave or cinema4D and the more advanced versions in the Vue line. I've created a lot of great stunning images in teh few months i've owned this product. There's only a few complaints i have and they really shouldn't stop anyone from buying this product. - Purchasing add-ons like trees, houses and materials. there's tons of other items that you can use to make your scenes from the softwares website but they require being purchased. after paying nearly #100 its a bit frustrating having to spend more for little things like paint materials or waterfalls. - Space: If you're planning on doing an extremely over the top image or something with an really high resolution your going to need to check the amount of available space ... One may start out with Morpheus Photo Morpher and "graduate" to Morpheus Photo Animation Suite, or spend the few extra bucks and buy the Suite in the first place, as it does even more than Photo Morpher does. Both are easy to learn, easy to use and a whole lot of fun for adults as well as for children. I can only add to my comments on Photo Morpher--that program is really great, but this one is even better!

The stuffit engine does a wonderful job of extracting compressed files, zip, tar, sit, & sea. The Deluxe version adds the ability to make your own self-extracting compressed files to send, and well as to archive. This version allows you to view archived files without having to extract them. (kind of like 'quick look' on OS X Leopard). Your compressed files also can be encrypted with very strong password protection for safe keeping or transfer. Compresses photos and music to fit on a CD or DVD that otherwise wouldn't fit. The magic menu integrates nicely in your menu bar. I've had no problems with this program at all and I highly recommend it if you need these features.
