My XP HP battleship finally could sail no more.. never gave Vista any thought actually..a few days ago the inevitable happened... plus the usb ports were becoming sloppy, white screen, but when it was good it was very good.. cut to the chase... From what i gather, buying Vista is a pant load different then purchasing a new computer. I am still amazed... my old XP would recycle sometimes, didn't like rollup 3, never thought I could use my extra's lke printer with Vista/new machine, the thing feches a program and my old close and play printer (all in one) is like new in doing its thing, same with "fixing" other programs, it just about apologizes for the trouble.. I work at a computer, and used to have lots of separate notebooks I would jot things in. Right now, I have three major projects, and at least 20 things going on in each, so there were lots of notes being jotted down in notebooks. OneNote allowed me to consolidate and do everything online. Can't say I'm a pro at it yet, and I'm still figuring out the best way to organize the notebooks/pages; but being able to search them, rearrange them, and add more to a page - especially in-between notes - has been great.

I purchased this product to install it on my MacBook using Boot Camp. I carefully followed the Boot Camp Assistant instructions and successfully partitioned the disk and installed Windows XP without a glitch. To me this is the lowest cost way to have XP on an Intel based Mac if you can live with the hard boot required to switch between OSs.

This software made it so easy to track finances and projects/tasks at work. It has very adaptable tool functions.

Does what I expected. The only better thing would be a Mac version. For those Mac users, it works perfectly on my Parallels installation of XP. I found no incompatibilities or issues. I often transfer my work to and from PC users without anyone realizing that it was done on a Mac.

I've been refomatting and installing OS for over 26 years and this is by far the worst, messed up version I've ever worked with. For example, CHDSK (Check disk) told me that there isn't enough disk space to rewrite a file when I have over 200g of free space. I have been working on this for over 30 hours and have had to reboot and/or reformat and resintall over a dozen times and I'm still sitting here waiting, and have been waiting for over three hours, and it still hasn't shown me the "choose a language" screen. As far as Media Center, which didn't work the first time it was intalled and I never could get it to work right, it's OK. I just haven't seen anything worth dealing with the instability of this. I've used Office 2003 since it came out and have been very happy with it. While there are a few more bells than 2003, I don't see a significant improvement over 2007's successor. Do I wish I hadn't bought it? No, there are a lot of templates that only work on Office 2007 that are dodgy at best on 2003. Would I say run out and get this. No. Since Vista we have all been waiting for something new from Microsoft to come out that really is an improvement.
