The word program works great, thats all I wanted, and once I got used to the new concept of the layout--still trying to figure out how to do stuff--it's more like rifling thru a tabbed file drawer than digging in a box. Once you learn where everything is...I'm sure there were instructions but who reads those? I like that everything is out where you can see it and it's a fast shift from one action to another ihnstead of opening and closing a series of windows. I love it.

I read that this product wasn't worth the money, but I disagree!! I bought this because I have iwork and nothing formatted correctly to .docx or.ppt the right way for school and I was frustrated. This product is so much better than iwork and easier to use than regular office for windows. Great graphics and fonts too.

I installed Office 2008 on a 1.25GHz G4 iMac with System 10.4.11 . Since other reviewers have discussed the features and functionality of Office 2008 thoroughly, I am going to focus my review on the experience of upgrading from Office v.X to Office 2008. I'll also comment on Expression Media because it's what sets the Mac Office Special Media Edition apart from the other versions of Mac Office. Overall it's a good product, Microsoft god bless them, has decided to move things around but after a short time you find the most common tasks.

I had hoped that there would be more road updates. The same problems with being unable to plot a trip because new roads aren't there or because of map errors.

I like XP. Why go Vista? Why do they keep upgrading the product so often? I know it's all about money, but if there are no significant improvements, they don't need to distribute new product. Plus, I can't play my old WIN 95 games/programs. Why don't they issue a fix for that? I won't upgrade until they stop supporting XP or not even that if I don't have to.

It integrates well with Windows Vista (32 bit). It is virtually transparent. Setup is a breeze. The re-license is a bit steep though - but it is comparable with the other suites. Seems to me that the re-up should be significantly less that buying the full product off the shelf. I highly recommend this product.

If you have never used MS Office before then ignore this review, because you are unlikely to be bothered by the issues raised here.
