I installed this thing on Windows Vista Home Basic and had no problems. It's a shame that others are having issues, I wish it really wasn't the case. The first thing I noticed was that the user interface was changed. It just doesn't feel the same. I prefer the old one, but I guess it isn't all that bad. The Settings section still looks the same and that is more important. But this is why it lost a star. It took something that worked well and changed it for no good reason. Once again, I have to give kudos to Kaspersky for allowing us the configurability to be configurable. I'm sure this product is fine IF it actually works! Upon inserting the CD, I received an error message saying that some EXE file was missing. That was just the start of the problems! I tried multiple times to get on-line help from their live chat and never made it past #5 in the queue. Even when I got in the queue at the start of business, I never got anyone to come on-line with me by the end of business! Several emails sent to their "help desk" for different problems resulted in identical responses, which didn't fix them. The technical support option on their phone support only directed me back to their on-line live chat and then went to a busy signal. Perhaps the product itself is good if the software isn't faulty, however the customer service and technical support IS ABSOLUTELY ABOMINABLE!!! ... Read More

This was a horrible hassle. The minute I installed it, everything kept freezing up. I switched back to Trend Micro.

I read the review at CNET and I purchased Kaspersky Internet Security software. The product was easy to install, it updates automatically, and it alerts me anytime that I run into a virus on the internet. I haven't had any problems with the product and I feel that it works great.

This product is totally invisible while it's working. I haven't noticed any degradation in preformance on my computer like I did with Norton. My only issue with it is that it is a 3-user license. I installed it on 3 computers, thinking that the 1-year license clock starts independently for each machine. Wrong. Even though I installed it on the third machine a full 3 months after I installed it on the first, the expiration date was the same. All three licenses expire one year after it is installed on the first machine (even though I will only get 9 months of use from it on the thirs machine).

Before using Kaspersky, I used to have McAfee on my computer. It made my computer slow and did not offer much protection to the computer. I first read about Kaspersky on Amazon and bought it immediately. I am extremely happy with Kaspersky. I have been using it for over a year now. It is much faster than McAfee. It does not bug the user with many messages. It stays in the background, but still gives the computer the required protection. After you install it on the computer, you can forget about your virus problems.
