Good product, but I bought this version and LESS than one month later Jasc Paint Shop Pro 9 came out and Jasc wanted to charge the full upgrade price. Just check to be sure Jasc doesn't have a new version coming out when you buy Paint Shop Pro ( current version is 10) because Jasc will make no allowance for the fact that you JUST bought their older version.

I have been very frustrated with this software. I haven't used it for much else than to create slide shows of my baby for the relatives, but this software has been a dismal failure in that one basic feature. For one thing, when you put together a slide show set to music, the test run on the computer may sync perfectly, but when you burn it to disc and play it on your DVD player, the pictures run out before the song does because the slide show runs too fast. So basically, testing the slide show on your computer before burning tells you nothing. I've had to repeatedly go back to my computer, try to guess how many pictures to add to the end of a slide show so the song won't cut short (or increase the delay between pictures) and burn it again and again in order to get it right. ... Fast shipment, but the quality of product is poor. Images overlap each other without clearing up and becomes worse with continued use. Possible manufacturer's defect.

Many people are dissatisfied with this product, but I say it's tough to top. Want to edit images and create graphics easily and don't want to spend oodles of dollars for Photoshop, which can cost up to $500+?! Paint Shop Pro is your ticket. You can do everything and more with photos and images. Maybe even more than you'd want to. There's things like red eye removal, specklies removal, filters, and even allowing you to make images look like they've been drawn in pencil, charcoal, and even neon wire. You can also give it an old-newspaper type feel or even a glass mosaic. It's a wonderfully priced tool for those who aren't experts, but are past the beginner stage. Paint Shop Pro 7 is a wonderful Program. I have used the program for many years and find it user friendly. However, when I ordered it at Amazon it was a bit misleading because what I received was not Paint Shop Pro 7 but Paint Shop Pro 6. I was at first disappointed and called the seller who insisted I try it and if I was not satisfied he would return my money. I thought that was fair so I gave it a try. It is missing a few of the features of Paint Shop Pro 7, but the features it does give you are excellent for the Price. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to alter and work professionally with their photos or art. It's a keeper!

As a JASC product, Quick View Plus is a bit disappointing. I am used to high quality products coming out of JASC, and almost always give them the highest recommendations. Although I would recommend Quick View Plus, not so much as other JASC products. Quick View Plus will open most any type of document, particularly helpful if you have to frequently change from Macs to PCs. I am a student at a University and as such sometimes use Mac files, mostly PC. Before purchasing this product, I was unable to view any files saved in Mac formats, now this is no longer the case. The files that it does view, however, range in quality from good to poor depending on the type. Poor quality, however, is still better than nothing at all. Adding music sound track to a slide show is a couple mouse clicks. And can change soundtrack in a couple more mouse clicks. If you dowload the trial ver to use free for 30 days and wish to buy. They offer you a ... dicount on it. Boxed set on CD with manual only [money]. Photo Album is the lastest ver of After Shot. If you want to upgrade from it to Photo Album 4.0 they want [money]. Buy the photo Album 4.0 instead. More powerful and easy to use.
