Adobe Audition was a great program before it was owned by Adobe, when it was called Cooledit. If it works, it has a great and useful set of features. Helas, depending on how your computer is configured, you won't be able to even launch Adobe Audition 3: It will just crash. This problem is known to Adobe for several years, but they didn't bother to correct this bug, or even to answer your emails if you write to them. You can find work-arounds on the Adobe Audition Forums, but don't expect this program to work out of the box. Also, in addition to many other bugs, note that Adobe installs a spyware service (Adobe LM Service) that you can't disable. Great features but it's extremely slow to load and is terribly buggy. On an HD project with four layers and keyframes, it's utterly unusable due to crashing. I've gotten weird behavior, errors during renders and, worst of all, shutdowns. It is unusable since it now takes approximately 2 minutes to load and I get a major crash within a few minutes of trying to do anything useful. I've got three fast hard drives and 3 Gb of RAM on Win XP so you'd think that would be enough. It would be an incredible program if it could keep running.

Product disc was in perfect shape, did not come with the book that usually comes with this type of product but works excellent. The box it came in was pretty crinkly but over all I am 100% satisfied for what I was searching for!

I have been upgrading Photoshop ever since my initial purchase of the CS suite years ago. Each edition has been more powerful and intuitive than the last. Recently, I decided to learn to create vectors for use in my Linworth books ABC, Follow Me!: Phonics Rhymes and Crafts Grades K-1 and for sale on the Web. I discovered that my version of Illustrator was outdated and much more difficult to use than more current versions. I ordered an upgrade of Illustrator to CS3 from Adobe, but the registration would not work. If you have a suite, you can only upgrade to another suite. Unfortunately, I was on deadline for a big project and waited too long to return the software. As long time business user of Adobe Acrobat, I found everything works as it should and so far no complaints. Installed as upgrade to Acrobat v8 Pro and following re-boot began instantly using it; digital signatures, etc., were imported without issue. In this latest, extended version I found the Forms feature particularly useful right out of the box. It allowed me to quickly create a new form directly from a pdf (dumb) page from a new Bid package; yes, the issuer of RFQ should have provided it as a form, but they didn't. Imagine their surprise when they received their page back as a filled in pdf form (one they didn't create and did not send out).
