I downloaded the trial version and mistakenly bought it before actually trying it out. I just edited a few sound files now and decided to come here to rant. The first irritation is that it can't import from an audio CD. We normally record the presentation digitally to a CD and that is my source file to start with, and I had to use another software to rip from the source CD in order to be able to edit the file with Soundbooth. Those of you don't have to import from CD won't have this problem, but to me it is a shame to leave this feature out. Wavepad, a cheaper shareware that I used before this, allows you to easily import from an audio CD. I had wanted After Effects for years, but when I found I was eligible for the upgrade path because I owned Photoshop I got the Production Premium suite. For me it was like getting eight programs for free. And these are awesome. I am an amateur animator so this is this most versatile package for animating as a one-person studio. I combine it with Toon Boom Studio to achieve much better results than I could previously achieve.

I have actually been using a free copy of the 1.0 version of this software for the past 9 years! I have installed it on 4 laptops now, including a new one I bought last week that runs with microsoft vista- I still can't believe I was able to get it to install, but it seems fine.... I use it to edit photos, but I don't print them, and also to create graphics for business cards, postcards, evites, etc. It's not perfect, but it does almost everything I need and I didn't have to take a class to learn it.

I was perplexed but I figured, because this is a new product, there was some kind of reason for that which I would learn later. THEN, the product I DID install, Acrobat 9 Pro, did not work properly.
