This is exactly what I needed. Help with tempo, rhythm music terminology etc. And I can go at my own pace and hear it again. I use this even though my instrument is guitar.

The day before I ordered this Jam Pack, I had received an M-Audio 88es USB velocity sensitive keyboard from amazon (reviewed separately) Keystation 88es 88 Key USB MIDI Controller and sustain pedal M-Audio SP-2 US65010 Sustain Pedal Piano Style Sustain Pedal for Keyboards The standard Garage Band 'Grand Piano' sounded just "OK", and there was no harpsichord. Those were my prime reasons for ordering this Jam Pack... and to have fun with the other sounds, of course. The Steinway Piano in this pack is substantially better than the standard Garage Band piano. Neither is perfect - but this Steinway is great for the price. With Garage Band's standard-issue synth patches and loops, it was hard to make new music without using the same sounds more than once. With these Jam Packs, I can get lost just finding loops to use - which is a really good thing! Definitely worth the money!

Once I got the product working, I liked it a lot. However, it initially did not work and I had to download an update. My friend bought this as well but she just gave up. Once I downloaded the update everything worked fine.

The MIDI/USB cable works as advertised, and I'm able to record music easily. The problem is, I bought this software to learn to PLAY piano...and it's entirely useless. The educational software is not compatible with Windows Vista, and the publisher does not offer product support for Vista users. I've tried every conceivable method to get this software to work on Vista, and it's a no-go. I even tried changing compatibility settings with no luck. I'm sure the software works great on older computers, but if you're running Vista, find something else.

I bought this just for the electric rock guitars and was not disappointed. Power chords, feedback, distortion, everything you need for real sounding rock sequencing.

I would really prefer a lesson were the video plays most of the time. This is mostley reading the screen, which is very small and they are so paraoid that you will copy it that they disable printing, The video really does not help much and i have been through half of the course. I personally would reccomend metal method with doug marks over this.

I purchased an older IMAC for my wife and children to use as the PC laptop they were using before died. when you need a word processor, xl program and presentation program you can buy and MS product or an apple one. Because the computer was a Mac I chose IWORK. It's worked very well and my wife and children rave about it. It is after all a round peg in a round hole. Perfect fit.
