Not going to go into a lot of detail as other reviews already have. Navigation is good in some respects and convoluted in others. The software should simplify money issues. Now I spend twice the amount of time as before trying to make the software work reliably. The online updates are great when they work. However, they are the least reliable part of this software. It has reverted back to old passwords on several occasions for no apparent reason. Budget section is OK if you don't deviate at all from the predefined categories. The budget handler of my old MS Money 1990 something was far easier to use and manipulate. Adding new categories and actually properly utilizing them in some meaningful way, downright mysterious.

It does what it says it will do. I had to review Excel rudiments to feel comfortable using the product. Two complaints; 1) my fault--I should have purchased the version that handles payroll because I need the functions which include tax and deductions calculations. 2) the first sheet--"Settings," continually displays a message, "Macros Must Be Enabled," among other things, that I can NOT eliminate. The macros are enabled and I DO NOT want to see this message every time I start the program, Overall, it's a "B-."

You can do a great deal with this software--some of it obviously useful, some of it less so--and there are clear, succinct explanations of legal issues involved in the decisions you have to make. Moving in and out of your existing documents is tricky, though; there aren't automatic prompts to save, and it would be easy to accidentally save over an existing document. It can be hard to get back into saved documents from the document list, too.

This program has mostly files written in 1989, on a CD-R copy disc produced by a cut-rate publisher. They do not support the product, unless you pay PER THE MINUTE over the phone. In short this product is not worth it, even as cheap as it is.

I see there are several reviews on here that don't favor this version of Microsoft Money. I have had mine for 2 years and it's my financial BIBLE! I love it. No, I dont use Passport and post my financail information on a Microsoft page.....so if those comments stop you....don't listen! I am a 43 old woman, self employed and crawling out of debt. Having this tool has helped me 200%! I recommend this product to everyone!

We are very disappointed in this product because it provides almost no options to customize the spreadsheet. We cannot rename catagories that are not applicable to us (i.e., child care), and we cannot create new categories that are specific to our needs. What's even more limiting and disppointing is that you cannot create a different tab for each month to use for comparison, which makes us wonder what value we gain from having a single month of finances captured. Finally, the bar graphs for summary comparisons are shaded the same color of the background which makes it very difficult to read.

The documents are fine, but I found the software to be difficult to use. Even though the software is downloaded to your hard drive, you save each document seperately when it is completed. Very unweildy
