This version is buggy (like all Mac Quicken versions have been), and is annoyingly short on features. It will download the same transaction from my bank multiple times. And I can't get rid of some auto-fill categories, no matter how many times I delete them. What's worse: Quicken Financial Life for Mac, due about the same time Quicken 2009 would have been available, is going to have even less features than Quicken 2007 for Mac (which was released in 2006). Of course, that doesn't mean Intuit will charge any less for the "upgrade." I'm sure QFL will end up being a subscription service, so Intuit can get money from the people who normally only upgrade every couple years. I only wish there was a viable alternative to Quicken! I have used Microsoft Money for many years. I ordered Microsoft Money Plus Home and Business to upgrade my current version, Money 2003. If you want to organize your finances in one place and have the power to plan for the future, this is the product for you. The automatic secure online backup and integration with Microsoft Passport are two of my favorite features. Other features include sections for Investing (with live stock price tracking, etc.), Reports, Taxes, and Planning, to name a few. This version of Money is even more user-friendly than previous versions, which were already excellent as they were, in my opinion.

I have used MS Money since very beginning and found it simple, elegant and straightforward. It does everything you expect it to do but... there are no new features that make an upgrade worth the money. So get yourself a copy, connect to your bank, and know who's got your dollars.

The best easy to use. My tax guy says you have everything you need to save you the most money. The "q" don't work good. I have tried 3 versions of "q" it never works good. Be smart! It's saves money and time! It's also will help you with your future.

This is the worst software purchase I have made in the past 2 years! The password protection -- Passport vs. standard -- is extremely confusing. The fact that the software talks with Microsoft gives me the creepy feeling that it's collecting data on me. I do not like the idea of an institution like Microsoft having complete access to my monetary data. This idea of remote access is rubbish. In my entire life I have never ever needed to check how my investments were doing while in the middle of a busy day. Not only does it have all my information, it also has a nice little banner that cheerfully asks me to Upgrade Today to Microsoft Money 2005. I will leave the futures of YNAB to other reviews. This is an OK program but is defiantly not for everyone. The idea behind YNAB is great but delivery of that idea is short. Basically, YNAB tells you where you are spending your money and that is the main strength of it. This software is nothing more then a logbook, pencil, and calculator. You can also do the same thing with any quality spreadsheet program. Personally I like YNAB program but it dose require dedication on a day-to-day basis. I do believe that most of the positive reviewers are short-term users. After 4 or 5 months most user will have set YNAB aside or use it in a very reduced role as I do. Poor programming. Importing feature make errors repeatedly. Have to reinstall several times to get working with errors caused by quicken. Error messages blame financial institution but turns out to be quicken error. Overall I do not recommend quicken and wish I had read the rest of these comments before buying in the first place.

When importing my financial statements, Money requests that I click 'yes' for each transaction. I am importing transactions for the last 6 years. I'll need to click 'yes' thousands of times. The people who have designed this piece of software obviously never used it in real life.
