Nice piece of software, but is limited. I have worked with several of the Adobe products and all do a nice job by allowing the user to make adjustments to photos. Personally, I thought this was a little pricey for the options that it gave. I was hoping that I could do all of my adjustments within the framework of this software, but instead find myself importing and exporting my photo from one piece of software to another. iPhoto even has several options that this doesn't. I feel that the Adobe products are over hyped and then in this case offer little. On the Windows side, Microsoft's Picture It even has some options that this doesn't. lightroom 2 appears to be a great product however it is slow freezes needs more work on it reading the blogs on 2.1 needs much more work wait for six months until you purchase

After using Photoshop for years, Lightroom 2 is my tool of choice for most areas of photo editing. The slideshow is very accurate in tone, contrast and detail, much better than Bridge. I like the non-destructive element and being able to go back at any time and undo work done in previous sessions without having to create the memory hogging layers of Photoshop. The print module is the best I have ever used. I am viewing the images more accurately than ever, everything in my system is the same, Lightroom is the only change. The "clarity" tool is excellent in giving the image punch and I love the "zeroed" filter which as I understand it, presents a "raw" image and that's what it looks like to me. Great product that supports audio and video for MAC. A must for all who utilize audio, video recording and print their own CD/DVD Labels. Works without problems and is very easy to use. Vast improvement from Toast 7 and 8 versions.

I tried Lightroom 2, Capture NX and Aperture. They are all very good programs but I chose Aperture because of it's ease of use and intuitive user interface. I'm able to make some striking images and repair images that would seem to be a lost cause. The huge number of 3rd party plugins is just a bonus.

My Final Cut Express 4 software came as promised: new and unopened. It also came faster than promised which was a great plus. It is nice to finally find a company which delivers what it promises.

I started to use Capture NX when it first came out.When Nikon upgraded to Capture NX 2 I bought it`s full version since I never I never had a backup disk.Most of my pictures are shot in raw files and I like what capture NX 2 can do with it.I also like to use this program to process my jpg. files from other cameras.A short learning period is needed to fully appreciate this program with it`s unique tools.For some more complicated adjustments I still like to use Photoshop.

First, the good part. I have a hopelessly old monitor whose color was completely off and all my prints were coming out greenish. This unit didn't make the monitor good-as-new, but it did bring about a noticeable improvement that I had been unable to produce by tinkering with the controls and Adobe Gamma for hours. Now the bad part: There is a quick start guide that is, basically, useless. There is no manual or help menu or any sort of guidance provided either in or on the box or in the software cd. If you visit the manufacturer's site, and search for "manual" or "user guide" or any term for that matter, you get "no results".
