This is a good addition to my MAC. It is necessary to go through a learning curve to become acustom to the various differences between the Windows and MAC versions.There should be more information in the package as to ome of the differences.

I would highly recommend this product for people who are wanting to talk vs. type for their computer. The product is easy to install and set-up. Since I can "teach it" it is getting better all of the time. I had Dragon Naturally Speaking and have found this product to be quicker, easier to use and more efficient. It works best in the notepad which adds an extra step to transfer it to the other documents I am working on, but since you basically have to edit it anyway it is an acceptable extra step.

There are several little things I don't like about Microsoft's way of doing things with Office for Mac, but those things aside, I find Office 2008 for Mac to be an enormously useful and very solid suite of applications. I had some serious problems with Entourage at first, but running the software updates from Microsoft fixed those. Office 2008 for Mac allows me to work seamlessly with my Windows using coworkers running Office 2003 and it lets me use Exchange Server features more efficiently. It's solid, dependable, and feature rich.

In general I found this to be a good upgrade and specifically useful since in my work I am being sent files from the PCs that are XML using Microsoft Office 2007. I like the changes in PowerPoint that make it easier to make changes. In addition this program allows me to make any file into a PDF without having to go print and making a copy. So far no problems or crashes.

I was wary of trying this when I saw all of the bad reviews, but after buying and using it for 4 months, I don't regret purchasing it. True, it seems a little disjointed, but once you remember that you use the program by using the top menu bar and do your navigation that way and through the little windows on the screen, one gets used to it. But remember, this software wasn't written for Leopard. I had no problem what so ever using it.

This just works, and it "holds your hands" as you go thru the process.I used this to complete our joint return, our children's returns, and all our state tax returns in an afternoon.

I upgraded from an earlier version of Filemaker Pro for my office. I like the ugrades and changes that have been made. We were operating on version 3, so there are many good updates.

I couldn't even get this program to run. Actually, it did run on my Mac under a different username -- one with virtually nothing else installed -- but wouldn't work under my username. Calls to support were useless. I got the usual drone-type replies where they were obviously copying-and-pasting some responses that had little or nothing to do with my problem and generally didn't even relate to my operating system (OS X). Of course, having opened the product, it was too late to return it. So I was simply out the money on a product that doesn't work at all for me. Given all this, I think one star is perhaps too much. Under some conditions, the product simply doesn't work at all, and if it doesn't work for you, you will lose your money with no recourse.
