Word and Powerpoint seem to work OK, but Excel is so slow as to be worthless. I have a brand new Mac Air, and I did get all the updates, and I tried resetting file preferences. I have Parallels, so I will be installing Office 2000 on the Windows side of things so I can use Excel.

Haven't had luck with either one. Most likely the problem lies with the copy of Windows you are trying to use. Bootlegged? Doesn't work so well. XP people, make sure you have your os disk with SP2 already included on the disk. Overall, Crash after Crash....after Crash. Everytime I create a new vm with either program, it doesn't want to operate correctly, such as screen freezing, crashing every open program, unable to install windows correctly (my personal favorite because appx. 1 hr. after the os has finally been installed...crash!). Don't want to scare you. Don't waste your money with either, stick with Bootcamp (no problems since). FYI--Parallels and Fusion are made by the same company!!! See for yourself.

Simply put, OS X is years beyond any other current OS on the market, period. As a professional graphic designer / developer I can honestly state that OS X has more flexibility in terms of customizing the OS than any other system offered. Some may argue Linux as the ultimate mod-box, but, the problem with other OS mods is you simply will not have the quality that is inherent to the OS X experience. Apple is truly a master at taking insignificant aspects of the OS and prioritizing the way it is projected to the user. Color, depth, ease of use, virtually NO virus/spyware vulnerability, UNIX availability, etc, etc, It's all here, in one solid package. Diablo II is by far one of the greatest games ever made for the computer. Absolutely incredibly fun and entertaining. There is a problem with the battle chest load discs for the mac: You cannot download Diablo 2 and then download Diablo 2:LOD as separate downloads, it will not recognize Lord of Destruction (LOD) as an installable disc with all macs running 10.4 or higher, the way to get around this is to download them all-together. However when you do that, you have to select the download without ever putting in the cinematic disc, in other words, the download that is 1.3 GB (it will say it's a full download of D2 and LOD, just without the movies.) I am writing this review over a week after the launch. I have been a user of this service since this was called iTools back in the very first days of 2000. Back when Santana and Rob Thomas were making Smooth music together. BTW, it was also a free service back then. Times have changed and Apple now charges $99 and we have only a few more features. The so-called push technology that Apple was promoting is not push. It actually takes 15 minutes to sync on your home macs. Also, you can no longer create groups. Sometimes, you can't even edit them. So far, the service is spotty. This was one of the best features of .mac. You can still edit any you have now when the service works, but Apple has stated no new groups can be created. All current users should get a refund because we paid our money ... Read More

I can't believe all the whining going on about copy protection on this game. Its just game companies protecting their property. If you have a problem with this you might as well give up gaming because this is the way its going. Most of these people are pirates anyways. And if you can't run this game,your pc is really old and you shouldn't be posting anything. Now this game is going to be alot of fun. My neices are having so much fun playing with it. When the full game comes out,i will have to buy more than one copy. A very unique game that will be very popular when it comes out. It is really something different. And i will enjoy playing it.

I really loved this product. I'm an Adobe Photoshop man myself but found Corel's Painter Essentials to be excellent when doing a few simple things to pictures. It's very easy to use. Highly recommended!
