Great photo editing software. Does not have all the features of the full version but it doesn't have the full version price either. So far Elements has met my needs.

The software is now more functional and polished than ever. Having migrated from Elements 2 and then 4, this is a fine upgrade which extends the usefulness of the product, and prevents me from having to invest in the full PhotoShop. Best feature for me is the improved photo merge capability - results hardly need to be adjusted in some cases.

Can't believe that I can make some serious DVD. Take clips from favorite scenes from other DVDs or for family movies. I used it to make a photoalbum on DVD. At first I was skeptical, but the plus is that its easy to use.

I have used PSP many times before, but this new photo version is the best...I kept my older version simply because this version doesn't come with the animation stuff. I would definetly purchase it again if I had to.

Parallels installed without difficulty on my iMac Leopard, but after that, the trouble began. Peripherals and downloads proved difficult, if not impossible. I was so turned off, I uninstalled it and went back to Boot Camp. My Windows xp works fine now, and so does my Leopard.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 is an improved version over version 4 in areas related to resizing photos, layering, additional flexability to Quick Fix colors and to 'cut and insert' and inverse using the maganetic lasso. However, the Organizer Workspace that you see when you open Photoshop is a dark grey. In itself, this is not bad; but, all the pull-down menus on the Options bar at the top are in an almost indistinquisable lighter grey so that it is extremely difficult to even locate the Options e.g. Aspect Ration, let alone change e.g. Restriction options. A great feature is the ability very easily create an impressive slide show file with text and music and even your own dialog.

I thought I hit the jackpot when I got ver.9. Having photo, video, and audio programs for a song of a price made me content. 10 added device support and a few more things. By far though I look at 10 as my device manager and have uninstalled the weaker individual device programs. I take lots of pics and a few vids on my cellphone and would like to keep them Instead of paying for internet email I send them to my pc by bluetooth. This is free and gives me the opportunity to edit the photos and videos. It works vice versa, it sends media to the phone. I can set the defaults for my phone so I don't have to keep resizing the specs. Another thing added from 9 is tracking cd/dvd content. I don't have to look at each disk to see what it contains. There are still the great editing programs only with a few more upgrades.

Nero 8 Ultra Edition is the next submission in a long line of upgrades to the venerable line of cd/dvd editing/authoring software. If you have a high def. video camcorder or other more recent hardware, the upgrade price may be worth your while to upgrade--for me I have found it not worth it. Perhaps it is worth it for more Vista compatibility though, even though I don't use the special Vista features. Pros: You can do a little of just about any type of DVD/CD/VIDEO editing with this software--but don't expect Pinnacle Studio or Sony Vegas Studio features. Greater Vista compatibility with some Vista features. There is a slight improvement to the user interface. Directly upload to YouTube and other video sharing websites.
