Spore is like the movie Groundhog Day. It's an endless repeat of your prior efforts. The game can be summed up in a single sentence:

"Spore is a endless effort in frustration."

Yes, the paranoid 3 activation limit and DRM is crap. But even if this game didn't have that, it would still be a 1 out of 5 rated game. You just never accomplish anything during this game and are stuck in an endless cycle of repetitiveness. There's just no fun to be had with this game and that's too bad, because it could have been so much more.

Game's great but non of my pre-order codes worked even the new ones that were sent to preload on fileplanet. I had to wait untill the product arrived, which defeated most of the reason to pre-order. Overall very poorly organized. The phone help at Amazon were great but it took the other department days to get the other string of wrong code for fileplanet to me, I just gave up. Does it sour me on Amazon absolutely not. I think this will be a lesson learned, this company is smart, I am confident that will never happen again.

I loved the original Colonization, and this version is a pretty good remake, faithfully recapturing most of the original game, updating the graphics and sounds, but essentially leaving actual gameplay untouched. It doesn't really have anything to do with Civ4, so if you're expecting another Civ4-style game you'll be disappointed. I'd say it's pretty good though, except for SecuROM.

Unfortunately, this software contains SecuROM, a copy-protection and disc-validation program that is installed without asking you and that may interfere with some of your PC's functions and may lock you out of parts of your registry. Oh, and it can't be easily un-installed. I can't even play the game most of the time because of SecuROM, about 80% of the time when I try to run the game it tells me my disc is not ... Read More

I have played all of the ND games and loved them all. Some more then others, but this is a good one. A bit spookier then the others, but the ending was not what I had expected. I guess that is a good thing, they keep you guessing. Some of the puzzles were difficult to understand what to do, but nothing impossible. Lots of places to explore: castle, huge grounds, and a pub. Hints are there, but handled a bit different. ;)

Can't wait for the next one.

Let's get one thing out of the way, i've been a loyal Warcraft fan for several years now and aside from owning maybe 4 books based in the Warhammer universe, i have no real knowledge of Warhammer. I wasn't even going to purchase this game when it came out but a friend of mine who was playing warcraft with me jumped ships and told me that it was a must. so i gave it a shot.

i fell in love with this game and purchased the collector's edition from amazon.com

since this is a review for that collector's edition i'll do a real quick review of the game:

graphics: 9/10 it's alittle choppy at distance but this is a newly launched MMO so yeah, but up close, the environments and the buildings are absolutely incredible. if you like dark and gritty and tired of WoW's colorful and gitty, this ... Read More

All as expected from a game continuation. That's OK because it's as good as Crysis, but honestly the shortest add-on I've ever played. Fun, but over in about 2 hours. Wait until it lowers in price for it to be worth buying.

Well coming from someone who like to play single player RPG games such as Final Fantasy, Shadow Hearts, Jade Empire, Knight of the Old Republic, Xeno Gears, and a few others I never though I would like the whole MMORPG. That was until I tired out WOW.

I got the battle chest set back in may of this year. It took me a bit to get the feel of the game and how it plays. But now that I have I really enjoy it. The one thing I found out is that it's best to play different races and classes. It keeps the game from getting old. Even though this is the first online role playing game I have ever played I have been able to get into it. I like that well they have the PVP they also worked the PVE into it very well. I play on PVE and it makes it so I don't have to worry about any one attacking me when I'm on a quest.

I have ... Read More
