I am an individual user wanting this product to replace my greetings software and home publisher which are full of glitches with Windows XP. This product is cumbersome, difficult to navigate, very user unfriendly and incredibly expensive. Seriously I would try to find any other product than this one. 8/2008

I don't know what that user above is going on about. Maybe it's time they upgrade their computer and/or scanner and stop trashing the software. I have been using Acrobat 9 for several months now and have had no problems at all - it does not run slow and I have gotten no error messages. It does have several new features that may not be used by your average user, but I would not consider something bloatware just because I do not use a particular feature or features. But even with that said, it is unfortunate that Adobe has stuffed a lot into 9 that your average person using the software to create PDF documents or for document conversion will not use. I have to use acrobat professional for my job. I have been using version 8.1.2 for the last year. I decided to upgrade to 9.0 because I had to get a third license. Acrobat only let's you install each package on two computers. I bought a third computer and instead of activating and deactivating a license each time I switch computers I decided to buy an additional package. What ticks me off about 9.0 is that it cost more than I paid for 8.1.2, but it seems to be the same package. The menus look the same and the software does essentially the same. I have yet to see a difference in my day to day work. If you are a user who uses the main functions of the software only, then you might reconsider upgrading. Got this upgrade because my husband purchased a newer computer, which wouldn't accept the Adobe 6 original. Works fine.

I upgraded from an earlier version of Filemaker Pro for my office. I like the ugrades and changes that have been made. We were operating on version 3, so there are many good updates.

Microsoft Publisher 2007 Version Upgrade I purchased this upgrade expecting some new tools and better templates but I was disappointed. Not much new in my opionion. I like the older versions better. As Publisher gets upgraded over the years it doesn't change enough to make the purchase of the upgraded program worth it. Save your money.

Save your money. The horror stories with this product are NOT exagerated! This is a beta release at best. This is the crime of theft at worst. I have the boxed version acrobat 9 pro. I have three days of every permutation while trying to install and stabilize this "beta" software. If you do not heed the warning as I did not. Plan to spend days if not weeks in particular opt for Adobe "support". In short I can not be negative enough about this product and the Adobe company.

I was a little hesitant due to the cost along with so many different releases being put out all the time. I kept thinking as soon as I buy this Microsoft will put out yet another version therefore making this one out dated. But with all the papers I have due and a lot of the professors using Word 2007 my older version wouldn't read or accept some of the downloads. I went ahead and purchased this and am glad I did! With all the download templates available (MLA, APA, Research papers etc.) it was well worth the money. Anyone that has tried to set up an APA or MLA paper on their old copies would understand my enthusiasm for the ease which Word 2007 Student allows me to just do my paper without the hassle of constantly fighting the format! Like many other Amazon customers, I too have had serious difficulty with Adobe Acrobat conflicting with other programs. In fact I phoned Adobe's corporate office seeking help in rectifying the issue only to be told that they we're unaware of Acrobat causing any issues with other software. Well, clearly this was a disingenuous response. Based on the sheer number of similar posts here, how could they not know about this problem? In Adobe's case, bigger doesn't mean better. But you certainly get what you pay for... a lot of headaches for the money. Until the powers that be at Adobe are willing to acknowledge the conflict issue, I strongly suggest you purchase another PDF creation tool.
