Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ10K 10MP Digital Camera with 5x Wide Angle MEGA Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Black) I have only had this camera for a few days but it has exceeded all expectations. Before this my favorite still camera was another Panasonic, the 8 Meg but this one is a third the size is 10 Mp and has all of the features of the bigger camera. With the Panasonic HD video camera you can carry High quality camera gear that used to require a wheeled cart in your pockets. Read the tech reviews for the details but give this camera a lot of thought. I find no downside to it at all.

Since Kodak has not included the rechargeable batteries I would not recommend this to anyone. The reason is simple. It eats a lot of battery. Regular AA (NiMH) doesn't last for more than 30-35 photos. And, KLIC-8000 doesn't work with this. (Eventhough, Kodak claims otherwise). Another option is to use expensive use and throw CRV3 batteries that won't last for more than 120 photos. It is completely absurd that such a good camera is of no use as when the moment is right; the battery dies. Also, there is no indicator in the interface of the camera that would display current battery status. So, most of the time you see no battery sign out of the blue - without any warning.

I've had/used this camera for 2 weeks now and i'm pleased with my purchase. It performs well but based on expert reviews does not beat its main compeditor i.e. canon G9 but still gives good performance in its class...and for $150 less than its rivals...THIS IS A DEAL! I believe its even better that the P6000 that has the same sensor size but costs more. Get it if you can, while not as popular as others its a much better deal if cost is a factor.

Even though I've only had my D700 a few weeks it is clearly far and above my privous dSLR cameras and I feel the D700 is well worth the extra money over the D300 I just sold. Highlights are: the big bright viewfinder, having my 50mm lens be a 50mm lens (et cetera) again, the shutter feels and sounds great (solid and smooth). The sensor, of course, is the heart of the camera and the reason this camera is worth big bucks. The image quality over my old D300 is very obvious, especially the amazing high ISO quality. It also seems like the focus works better (mostly more precise), even though I've read it's the same as the D300. The Nikon D80 is an excellent camera, with more features than other SLR cameras in its price range. My only disappointment is that the D90 was announced one month after I purchased the D80. From what I can see, the D90 is a better camera for the same price.

Well I purchased this camera a couple of days ago and really enjoy it so far. It is very compact (nice to carry in pocket) and has a 'sleek' design. The pictures look fantastic and the different modes make it easy to get the perfect picture. On the other hand, my camera's lense makes a strange noise upon opening (maybe they all do that). Also, most normal SD memory cards are not compatible- meaning I had to get a new memory card. Other than that this camera is a great pick- I recommend it.

This is my second dSLR. My first dSLR was the Canon D350. It took excellent pictures, but dSLRs were still evolving and I found the 1.8 inch screen too small to view, and when I viewed pics taken on it, I missed defects in photos, like out of focus areas, because of this. Thus I sold it. As an aside, I still have my film SLR Canon EOS 500 from ages ago. Took lovely photos but obviously not used anymore :) Come 2008, I felt it was time to get my feet wet again. All dSLR's have huge screens (remember the 1.5 inch ones of yesteryear?) and there are more choices than ever before. I tried to order the A300 from Amazon but they didnt ship to Singapore. I could not be happier with this camera, and you certainly can't beat it for the price. The screen is surprisingly large for a small camera and the quality of the photos is fabulous. I can carry it around in my purse and have it on hand for spontaneous shots. The fact that it uses regular batteries is a blessing and a curse. At least if it runs out and your on vacation and out and about you can buy batteries anywhere instead of having to wait until you can charge it. But the downside is that they seem to get used up fairly quickly. I'm really pleased I got this one and not a more pricey version. I have my Rebel SLR for high ed use and this for everyday.
