This is a great camera for the price. I have taken tons of pictures in the National Parks, Ski Mountains, Family gettogethers. I would recomend this camera. I have a personal preference not to use the Auto Mode. I set it up for portrait or Landscape most of the time. Great large pictures of blue skys and snow. The large flipout screen is great for taking pictures when you put the camera on a tripod or want to take a night shot and need to set the camera down. After owning my camera for about 16 months, my camera LCD screen went black. The pictures were black and the camera was useless. I went directly to the Cannon Website and opened a repair. I bought this battery after 3 of the cheaper (generic) batteries ran down after only a few pictures, one of those batteries swelled up and wouldn't come out of my camera. I'll not buy another generic battery for anything.

I wanted to buy a pair of binoculars for my husband, thinking he might begin the astronmy hobby he has often mentioned. First I bought a pair of Nikon 10x50s...mistake. They were too heavy...I couldn't hold them steady and looking at the sky was pointless through the unsteady gaze. I returned them immediately, bit the price bullet, and bought these. We both love them. Haven't used them for the stars yet, but brought them to an Ironman race and could watch my sister swimming in the race...unbelievable. My dad had his favorite automatic focus binoculars at the race, but our Canon was still better. Crisp, clear, beautiful, and the stabilization changes the entire experience. If you can afford them, buy them and you will not regret it. Makes details pop like never before.

I don't think it can help much. Expensive for a lens hood like this.

It fits everything and protects it great. Not too big, not too small. Not too hard, not too soft. Just perfect for the HG10 and all of it's accessories (DM-50 microphone, tele & wide converters, extra lenses, all wires, charger, batteries and then some. GREAT bag.

Ink lasts a long time and only needs to be replaced individually as they empty.Also very simple to change cartridge.

Don't misunderstand, this neck strap was received in good condition and is nicely made. The problem is that it is far too stiff. The original design was smaller in diameter and felt very supple. This one is like a small cable. It works, but is far too spartan in feel.

I think this lens is great but it is pretty expensive especially if you're not an "advanced" amateur. I mean you have to be honest with yourself and ask yourself if you're really going to be able to tell the difference between like a Sigma generic lens versus paying the difference for a Canon lens. No doubt the Canon lens is better quality but are you really that "advanced" to be worth spending this kind of money on a lens?
