This is my first time that I bought a Sony Camcorder and just I can say it is great, its compact ( it is the same size of my hand ) and its working splendid...I can recommend again and again. The only thing that I forgot to buy for my Sony DCR-SR45 was the Sony memory stick pro duo 16 GB by Usd$97.00 here in Amazon.

I purchased this for my 8-year-old son after another camera he had broke. This one is much better than the other. It is made better, and it has more features. It has sound and flash, which some of the other kids quality cameras don't. It is also easy to use. I would recommend it.

Just got this camera and went traveling with it. It's about the same size of my old Canon A40 but not as heavy. The battery life is fantastic and can be charge via your computer. The photos turn out good. Video is good too. An all around, versatile, camera in my book.

Excellent Camcorder for the price, got it few days from 6th ave. Did lot of research and decided on this. Upgraded from Panasonic MINI-DV. Seen people complain about the software, but I found it good software. But you have to upgrade it from panasonic web site, go to support and upgrade the software and you will have the latest software for the product. Pros: Small size, nice optical zoom, BIG hard drive Cons: Video quality little grainy in low light, but all camcorders in this price have the same issue

I initially wanted more features, but did not want to spend over $250-270 total (with accessories like MiniDV tapes, firewire cable, bag, extra battery). I use it for recording my children's music performances. Plus: - The video quality is very good. 40x OPTICAL zoom. This was the highest optical zoom I could find in a camera in this price range. - The sound quality is good in the 12 bit mode, and even better in the 16 bit mode. - Easy to use. - Compact. - Intelligent Lithium battery. Let me start off by saying congrats to Sanyo on this one. I have owned many Sanyo cameras. This one really does perform better than I thought it would. I have had a Sanyo HD700 and was never really happy with the pics or video from it. Also the focus was really slow. I also have a Sanyo HD1000 and no it is not better than that but the focus is much quicker on this Sanyo E2. The Sanyo E2 is also water proof to 5foot and is much smaller than the HD1000. I was very impresseed by the pictures from the E2 they look just as good as my 800.00 Hd1000. The video from the E2 is also very good in low light. I did have to manually set the ISO to 400 to get good video at low light levels without grain showing up. This camera is a very good performer over all and very impressive. I purchased this model a few weeks ago and have been using it as I can. The one thing I'd read alot about was the viewfinder LCD screen can be hard to see out in the bright daylight and that is very true with it. It made the LCD Screen be just like a mirror. All I could see was my reflection. I emailed Sony and they suggested the back light should be turned on then. I haven't had another situation like that since so I'm anxious to try that and see if its any better. I did have one day that it was a little tough to see the viewfinder and I found that shading my eyes helped me see it better. I think video quality is very good. I tried the night setting and yes it might make things a bit greenish, but you can see so well. I would not recommend using it to take still photos. I didn't spend a lot on this product...good. Pretty much out of the box I started enjoying this product...well not really, I did have to find the firewire cable but hey. This product is very handy to use, easy to learn and fairly simple to begin with...and hey for not very much cash! I have to admit...I've been having a lot of fun with this camcorder. I spent about the same money on my phone and that pisses me off...just about on a fortnightly basis. The camcorder...no complaints. Technology that works? I'll try not to get my hopes up too much.
