We bought this for basic use only. Within 9 months it wouldn't finalize our discs of our new baby. We sent it back at our expense. The company replaced it's organs and returned it. Six weeks later it won't work again and the company wants us to ship it back at our expense again to work on it some more. Again, our baby's precious moments are lost because it won't play on DVD without finalizing the discs. The company won't just replace the camcorder they will only fix it even though it keeps failing. Horrible camcorder, horrible company. Don't recommend a Canon or this particular DVD camcorder.

i have had this camera for about 3 weeks now and just love the convenience of carrying one device for both video and still pictures. its also lighter and smaller than my other devices. its very easy to use. picture quality is good in daylight or well lit area. it gets grainy in the dark and does not look great especially when viewed on an HD TV. audio is ok, zoom is basic. i usually just walk closer to my subject instead of zooming as i get better audio capture. still pictures are great and the flash works fine. battery life is good and i love the fact that i can charge it with a USB cable or one of many usb chargers i have for the cell phones. overall it is a good buy for the price.

This is the worst waste of money ever! We've had it for a year, and are still unable to burn a dvd that wont skip, or freeze up! You can not edit you video with out purchasing the software, and the software is a joke!!! Your forced to only use this software, and you can't even delete parts out from your segments you have to split the segment where you want to delete, and then trim the beginning of the next segment to remove unwanted video! I spent six hours trying to edit a dvd because the software runs so slow, and at the end it told me I had to purchase the software if I wanted to burn the dvd! I WILL NEVER PURCHASE JVC AGAIN!!!!

Very good product. Video playback is very smooth and has enough resolution that everything is easily visable, FOR THE MONEY. Have to remember you aren't buying a top dollar helmet cam, it is what it is. I expected less features, and a much more unclear/choppy recording. The videos people have uploaded on youtube etc don't do it justice, a lot of quality is lost. Several of each type of mount is included, for mounting options in different locations. The camera is also a lot smaller in size than I originally thought. I was concerned with the tight single track I ride it getting hung up on a low branch etc along the trail but no worries; tons of room. Biggest gripe, well 2 actually, is first the firmware only supporting 2GB MAX especially when cards are now available up to around 32GB and secondly is the battery life. ... Read More
