I bought this camera about 15 days back. I have used it a couple of times indoors, outdoors and indoors with low-light conditions. Used correctly, this camera does a great job of taking good quality images. I had to play with the camera for about 15-20 mins to get familiar with it so I could take the best pictures possible. My sister owned a Powershot A530 before this one and i had the same experience with that too. This camera fits nicely in your jeans pocket and is quite light. Don't make the same mistake I did and buy this camera based on all the "great" reviews here. Most people writing reviews here are amateurs (since only an amateur would buy this camera) and don't realize just how awful this camera's images are. I bought this camera for my sister after insufficient research, only to be shockingly disappointed. The images are simply incredibly noisy, and Sony tries to cover up this massive shortfall by adding massive amount of digital "noise correction." What causes all this noise? This is simply a bad camera with a very insensitive CCD. In very bright light, you will see noise even in darker colors. My review: I like it. The reasons are: The battery lasts 3 times longer than if it were in the D200. It's a tad smaller than the D200, and lighter. It has a dynamic range similar to film: by retaining detail in shadows and highlights. Slightly more sensitive in low-light. Slightly better image quality than the D300; superior image quality than the D200. Uses SD, SDHC memory cards that are much smaller than CF cards. It is all the camera one needs for photographs up to 4 feet by 5 feet. I've used it professionally: it is dependable. Automatic program mode makes the D90 useable for beginners. The write on screen is perfect for enhancing Native American rock art pictures on site. Often very faded rock art turns out to be a picture of a rock unless you are on site and can see the faint outlines which you can then mark on the picture. Bet they didn't think of this use! NOw how about a bigger lcd?

I just got this camera and have been playing around with it for about a week. I formerly had an Olympus and loved it, but everyone who I knew who had a Powershot loved them, so I thought Id's give it a shot. The LCD is crystal clear and I like the dial. It is fairly easy to get the hang of. I do recommend reading the manual, though because there are a lot of things this camera can do...I have a tendency of putting my camera in Auto and leaving it there, so please read the book! I love the Color Accent feature where you can single out one color in the frame and make the rest of the shot black and white. What a great camera at any price and that it was only $99 makes it THE bargain out there, and I looked for a while. The 5x zoom is great and Panasonic has extended zoom which goes up to almost 8x on this camera. On the down side its a bit slow between pictures but that might be because I haven't read the manual yet as there are so many features.
