This lens is fairly good for it's low price tag. It has quite a bit of zoom range, which is the main reason I bought it. It is rather slow, but can generally get the job done. I used this lens to shoot a high school soccer game and football game for the school newspaper and yearbook. I got some great soccer results, and got some decent football shots from the students section at night. If you are looking for a low priced zoom lens, try this one out.

Has incredible features for small camera. Took a while to learn most of features but very easy to use (touch screen) Wife loves it. Thin, fits in handbag nicely. good zoom range, clear well exposed pictures

I looked at this product at other places for more than double the price. I was very pleased to see that when I received the item it was the same as the more costly ones. Great Product and they got the product to me fast.

I have had the Kodak Z1085IS for 3 months now and have been very satisfied with my choice. This camera replaced my walk-around film camera that I used for 20 years. I looked for small size, light weight, quality optics, and manual controls which this camera had. The automatic settings are reliable and easy to use so my other family members can pick it up and get great results. There are more expensive brands but unless you need raw files, and lots of add-on accessories, stick with this camera for the money and enjoy the quality. Make sure that you use only lithium batteries in this camera. The Coolpix P6000 is a great little camera. The Vibration reduction feature works flawlessly. However in bright sunlight, the Monitor screen is difficult to see, and the viewfinder is somewhat small. GPS is interesting feature, but, until I cruise around Europe, I'll probably be able to tell where I took the picture from the content. Overall: Great!

I was in need of a more powerful lense to compliment my 28-90mm lense when I found this. Though it was realitively inexspensive it surprised me in it's clarity /sharpness. Yes there is a bit of a halo at 300mm but not that bad. The auto focus isn't that great but is just ok. I use manual focus most the time anyway. All in all it is very good for most work and you can't beat the price. It is heavy enough to require a monopod for steadiness to aquire the sharpest shot. Good purchase if on a limited budget like myself.

The smile detection feature is what sealed the deal. Its a great camera. The only warning is it holds 4 pictures without a memory card. I DID find an 8G memory stick duo for like $22 online so that should make it hold about 2k pics. I didn't find the ISO pics to be too blurry... but I'm not a professional photog, just a mom :) Anyhow, great camera, great pics. I recommend it based on the value.

Don't make the same mistake I did and buy this camera based on all the "great" reviews here. Most people writing reviews here are amateurs (since only an amateur would buy this camera) and don't realize just how awful this camera's images are. I bought this camera for my sister after insufficient research, only to be shockingly disappointed. The images are simply incredibly noisy, and Sony tries to cover up this massive shortfall by adding massive amount of digital "noise correction." What causes all this noise? This is simply a bad camera with a very insensitive CCD. In very bright light, you will see noise even in darker colors. I'm completely new to the DSLR world and I've added this lends to my new alpha200 camera. I'm super happy with the results this lens gives me, sharp, noiseless, and strong colors. I don't agree that the zoom takes that long. It's not in millisec, but it doesn't disturb. I'm very happy.
