This is a fantastic camera - I've had it for two weeks now and am extremely pleased at the ease of use and especially the quality of the photos. I bought it to use in the rains of London, when I head over there to visit my sister, but it has now become my daily carry camera and sees a lot more use than I initially expected.

The camera was wonderful at first. I loved the large screen, the ease of use and the pictures were pretty good. But then I realized how quickly it ate batteries and 8 short months after buying it, it died. I have sent it back and not heard anything. I will be camera shopping and will be looking for a new brand.

I had to return the camera to the seller because the lens was damaged. I have since received a replacement and it is okay.

The camera arrived promptly and complete. However, the camera was bulkier than expected. Specially for a teen girl, which was the actual recipient of this gift. The camera is not bad for the price, but the features are hard to use(smile detection, etc) and does not work intuitively. Keeping in mind a pink camera will be used mostly by girls, they shoot photos all day long. The batteries do not last long enough for a typical weekend.

Just received my E420 from Amazon a week ago and love it. Thank you Amazon for wonderful service and a great price on top of that. After being a 35mm enthusiest from years back, I wanted to get back into photography but of course on the digital side. The E420 is my first DSLR and am amazed at the versatility and quality of the photos I taken with it. For the price, I don't think you can get a better entry-level DSLR. I noticed that it's one of the seven cameras that Popular Photography has nominated for Camera of the Year 2008. With all the cameras on the market now, that says a lot.

I don't know about the other person who gave review on a PINK Kodak like this one.My sister got my this as early Christmas gift and it's RED.RED means lucky and money so I didn't mind the color.The performance AAA++++ really happy.Very Crystal Clear and I am super happy and satisfied.I rate it as 10 and 2 thumbs up and 2 big toes UP!that's happy I am.I'm not sure if color matters bec.the other person who made comment on the pink kodak tells the opposite.sorry to hear that.:(

This camera is excellent. It's easy to use and allows you to do some fairly impressive and more advanced things in photography. I upgraded to this camera and the clarity in each picture is startling. I can't wait to enlarge my photos to poster size. As you might imagine, I highly recommend this camera to most anyone who wants to do more that point and click even though you can do that quite well with this camera.

We bought this as a replacement for an older version that didn't survive a dip in the sink (it was actually our fault and not the kids'!). I didn't want a camera with too many buttons and functions, as I use it to take pics of the kids and need to point and shoot quickly before I lose the shot. I haven't had any issues with the camera. It's worked wonderfully from day one. The change from replacing batteries to re-charging it was a great new feature, as was the simplification of the wheel (though I see they've gotten rid of it completely on the newest version). We're considdering this for a gift for my mil, who is hopelessly stuck on her film camera and has minimal computer skills. i use it with nikon d40x. I like its compact size. my only disappointment is the contact between the lens and the camera body. It is not a seamless fit, one can see the metal part of the cameral. it gives one the impression that not enough thought is being put into the design. this does not affect the lens performance. i feel Nikon could do a better job on this 'fit'.
