As another reviewer stated the audio in the movie mode is awful on this camera. Other than that it is a decent camera for the money. I am returning it for the poor audio as I'd like a camera that has everything work. (if it means paying more).

I'm loving my new compact camera that fits so easily into my purse. The battery life is great, the 3" LCD screen is fabulous and with Smart Capture I just have to point and shoot !! My friends have all seen it and want one now too !!! I am definitely glad I chose to buy another Kodak !

This review is for; Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS SLR Lens For those that are unaware this is actually Canon's third version of a 18-55 kit lens. The first lens was your basic 18-55 EF-S 1:3.5-5.6 (the lens I got with my XTi). Next came the same lens, but with a USM motor (very limited availability, probably because Canon had the IS version in the works). The third version is the 18-55 EF-S 1:3.5-5.6 with IS (image stabilization). So far, I have been very satisfied with this lens as I have used it to replace the 18-55 kit lens that originally came with my XTi. The IS really helps to keep images sharp when using the camera for hand-held shots only! Don't use the IS when your camera is mounted on a tripod! I've been using this camera for several months now for a color photography course at my school. I very much enjoy using it as it feels sturdy and fits perfectly in my hands. The only real limitation that I've had with the camera is the poor shooting speed. It wouldn't stop me from buying it over the competition, but it does encourage me to upgrade to a Nikon D90/Canon 40D whenever I get the chance to. I shoot mostly RAW files because of how well you can edit them when compared with the default jpegs. You can get some really nice shots/detail with them. I do use the RAW+ featuer so that I can quickly and easily view my photos on my computer and edit out the unuseable pictures. I received my SD1100 last week - it only took 3 days with free shipping. Very impressed with Amazon's shipping during the holidays. All that aside, I am also impressed with this camera! I shopped around and chose the Canon SD1100. It's so small and compact. Easy to take along everywhere but it's still packed with all the fun features. I wanted to leave a review on the color alone. I really debated on the brown. Blue would have been my second choice but the chocolate lover won out. It's a beautiful deep brown color. The photo doesn't do the color justice. It's a perfect color of chocolate. I just love it and get LOTS of compliments on it. Highly recommend the Bohemian Brown color!

Negative: shutter lag is pretty serious, but if you have the right settings, it gets better. Takes some time to figure out. Also it appears to be better when more memory is available. Positive: durability! I agree that the durability of this camera is nothing short of incredible. This camera can really be handled roughly, which is great. I got the Fuji film Z20fd so I don't have to carry my slr every where I go some times you just want a photo wean you hanging out in a bar or what ever and if I take my slr I have to carry it in my backpack Then I just cant put my back pack down some one can take it and this just fits in your pocket the only bad thing I have to say is that my fingers are to big for the buttons in the back and I am always pressing the wrong thing but that's just me over all its just a simple point and shoot if you looking for something simple then this is you camera if not just by a slr

I bought this lens as a replacement for the kit lens (28-135 3.5-5.6) whereas the kit lens was very soft at the edges, this lens is crystal clear. I use it as my walk-around lens. With it's good wide angle and fast f2.8 low light capability this lens is one I can count on for most situatuions.

Researched and researched cameras until I was researched OUT! Saw this little jewel and decided (based on other reviews) I should try it. SOOOOO glad I did! Human-friendly camera, easy to use, GREAT pics and just what else could you ask for? Oh yeah....was at a GREAT price. Got an HP camera a couple years ago, cost much more and wasn't anywhere as user-friendly as this one. Plus, it kept "eating" batteries so couldn't keep it working. Eveyone that has seen this one and the pics taken are astounded by them. If you're looking for a reasonably priced, easy to use camera that will delight you with beautiful results of your efforts....BUY THIS ONE!!!!
