I just wanted a camera for snapshots and candid photos, nothing fancy. I had this camera for a year, and got poor quality pictures the whole time. It was easy to use, but photos were either grainy or blurred. After consulting the manual several times, no error could be found. It was small and light, but didn't suit my needs.

I have a D300 and my results with this lens are quite positive, let me tell you. My model will take nice pictures with ANYTHING! All the Nikon DX series are awesome, powerful cameras. The 55-200 lens took nice snapshots of my child moving about in a dimly lit room with a flash. I have seen inspiring, professional results using this lens on a basic D40 kit. I am not shocked at people discounting this nice zoom lens because it isnt a 200mm fancy portriat lens, or is it simply because it isn't the more favorable VR model. Okay, so this is the best camera EVER!! Its really small, much more thna i thought, and its super thin. therefore, it weighs almost nothing. The color is great, and there are very good features!! I SUPER-HIGHLY RECCOMEND this camera!!!! 2 thjings, though: dont get this is you ave large fingers, for the buttons are very msall and make sure you buy a memory card-- it doesnt come with one!! the shipping was extremley fast. i did the standard shipping and it arrived within 2 days. The camera would not work and then I realized it was because the battery was not charging. When I contacted the seller, they told me the battery did not work and that I had to buy a new one. Why sell me a camera with a non-functioning battery? They could have simply written in the description that a new battery would need to be bought. I would have never purchased it!

This camera is small enough that I carry it right in my purse and have it with me at all times. Takes great pictures. The most important function for me is that it has the Image Stabilization.

They have managed to package a good camcorder and a fantastically high resolution still camera into something that goes into one's shirt pocket. I was so happy with the first one I bought for $250.00 that I bought a second from J and R for $200.00. The HDMI cradle is coming in the mail this week. You have to get it directly from Samgsung at this point.

If you need quick, good resolution pics, this is a fine small camera. Very bright screen. Good battery life. Easy to whip out of a pocket or case. Much quicker to adjust exposure, flash, ISO than my more expensive Nikon. The only drawback is that the lenses don't seem as sharp as higher-end models; but who would use this to shoot and print 16 x 20 professional pics anyway? Oh, and the 3X zoom is a limit, but not one that I felt uncomfortable with. This camera is becoming an unconscious extension of my seeing, unlike bigger cameras that are always somewhat intrusive.
