This is a great camera! At 400 ISO and below it takes amazingly detailed pictures without any visable noise even if photos are cropped. The learning curve to use the custom functions is a bit steep, however. It comes with a thick manual and I'm still learning all the functions. I already had a lot of 35mm pentax lenses and its compatiblity with my existing lenses are the main reason I chose this camera over another make. It works great with A series lenses with the lense set to the Auto setting. When the lense apeture ring is set to a F-stop setting manually or if you are using an older lense without the Auto setting, you have to go into the camera's custom setting program and enable the camera for use with the apeture ring set manually for the camera to function. This was a birthday gift for my teenager. The camera is awesome. In my opinion, better than the Canon PowerShot I have. It has a very nice display, the pictures are clear and crisp. The shutter movement is quick. I would recommend as a good deal for anyone needing a quality camera for a good price.

I purchased this camera 8 months ago. Still images are almost always blurry. The zoom quit working after just 4 months. The pictures come out grainy appearing, all no matter the setting. The flash works very poorly, as well, and you must be very close to your subject to have any effect. Also, there is a delay when you take a picture, of up to 4 seconds, so if you need a quick shot, it won't happen. I would not recommend this camera.

I love this camera! I needed a camera for personal use to take pictures when I go and trips, etc. I could not have chosen a better camera. I went to NYC for the first time (I'm from GA) a few weeks ago. The pictures turned out amazing! Great for the person who doesn't want to worry with whether the light is right or if a moving car will mess up the shot! Just point and shoot and a perfect picture every time! No complaints! Everyone always comments on how great my pictures turn out and many want me to take their pictures with my camera!!

I very much wanted to like this camera. It's so small and portable and Consumer Reports ranked it very high. Unfortunately, the picture quality is poor. Low light pictures are very grainy and even in bright sunlight, pictures are dull and washed out. I'm not a novice with cameras and I've tried manually adjusting the settings but get the same mediocre results. It's small and has great battery life, so very casual users will probably be fine with the mediocre pictures. But if you want to capture quality photos and stay digital, get a Nikon or Canon DSLR. I use a Nikon D40 and the images are in a different league.
