I've not tried the jacket cover as of yet, we are in the middle of a terrible drought and haven't received any rain at this time. I have taken it and performed some dry runs with it by putting it on and taking it off. At first, I was a little clumsy with it but with practice I've been able to install my camera in the jacket and remove the jacket very quickly. As advertised, it takes only seconds to use. The jacket works great with my telephoto lens installed but with my regular lens the jacket is slightly big. Even with the shorter lens I've been able to manage using the jacket. I'm looking forward in testing it in a field.

Haven't tried it in the rain yet, but I used it all day during a paintball tournament with 18-55mm and 70-200mm Canon lenses on a Digital Rebel. The tightening straps don't slide easily through the fabric, which makes getting them on and off a pain. Zooming in and out can be tricky since the fabric can bind up if you're not paying attention - this can also interfere with focusing. The fabric is light enough that you can feel all the camera controls which is nice, and also means it can be stored in a small pocket (currently living in the side pocket of my camera bag). All in all a worthwhile purchase if you want to protect your equipment, but the quality of the straps leaves something to be desired.
