Bought this camera for trip to Mexico in July, love to snorkel so instead of throw away invested in this camera. I left my Canon rebel digital at home figuring I could use the Sealife sea or land. NUMBER 1 big problem there is no viewfinder and a majority of the time the LCD panel was one huge rainbow like an oil slick on water. You could not see image or even the choices to change modes, flash, battery life etc. Anything that comes up on that LCD was not visible. I was shooting blind most of the time. Okay on wide open beach to point and shoot you know you will get some of the scenery in the picture. Also the zoom really blurs the picture, you are better off not using it. For example before we left at niece's 5th bday party and zoomed in for candle blow out pic....all blurry. I am ... Read More

I bought my SeaLife for a once in a lifetime trip to swim with whales. This camera was the only thing I used to capture the moments above and below the water and it did not let me down. It can use up a lot of batteries when it is on for extended period of time, and a couple of the buttons have become a little sticky over time (9 months), but the camera is priced right for the non-professional underwater adventurer. I couple things I have learned are to avoid using the digital zoom, and make sure to rinse the camera after heavy use in the water - especially the ocean. Plus, on several occasions I have found my pictures to be over-exposed. Still, even with these minor occurances, I continue to use it, even when I'm not near water.

The product is a little smaller than a bic pen cap. Obviously it needs to fit inside the waterproof camera case. It took me a second to figure where, but it did. Good price.

This is a great strap for an underwater camera. It does keep the camera from sinking. The only drawback is that it needs to be longer. There isn't much slack between the wrist strap and the camera. It makes it a little hard to get the camera into position when taking pictures.

to attach a string from the wide-angle lense to the camera.

Due to the lense blocking out the flash you will need to take the lense off frequently in order to take flash pictures. If you don't attach it to the camera it is fairly easy to re-mount it incorrectly and have it fall off.

Fortunately someone else on my dive found mine and returned it.

I went on a trip to the Great Barrier Reef. The pictures I took with this camera were ok. I'm glad I got the email of someone else on the boat and got their digital photos, they were beautiful. I'd recommend to anyone going diving to pony up enough to get a decent digital camera. Oh, and if you do buy this one, remember to TURN IT ON before you dive. Nothing will infuriate you more than lining up a white-tip reef shark then realizing you have to open up the case to turn the darn thing on. Why they didn't design it to be turned on underwater is a mystery.
