Let me start off by saying congrats to Sanyo on this one. I have owned many Sanyo cameras. This one really does perform better than I thought it would. I have had a Sanyo HD700 and was never really happy with the pics or video from it. Also the focus was really slow. I also have a Sanyo HD1000 and no it is not better than that but the focus is much quicker on this Sanyo E2. The Sanyo E2 is also water proof to 5foot and is much smaller than the HD1000. I was very impresseed by the pictures from the E2 they look just as good as my 800.00 Hd1000. The video from the E2 is also very good in low light. I did have to manually set the ISO to 400 to get good video at low light levels without grain showing up. This camera is a very good performer over all and very impressive. I have used it for several ... Read More

I use these repeatedly in my Cannon digital camera. I keep 2 sets, 1 charged and 1 in the camera. These rechargeable batteries have easily paid for themselves by keeping me from having to purchase regular AA batteries like before. They charge in about 2-3 hours and so far (after about 6 months) still seem to hold about 90% charge as when new.

I bought this for my trip back to Ohio for our family reunion. When I was looking to finally purchase a camcorder I had several criteria points to achieve.1) Ease of operation.I needed a camcorder that was ready to capture whatever I came across when it happened and not a minute later.2)I needed a camcorder that was compact enough to fit in my pants pocket(I didn't want to lug a case around).3)Storage media had to be compact as well.Imagine storing several cassettes or several discs in your pocket, not very comfortable.Hard drive camcorders I found too susceptible to the hard drive crashing, and at the time I was shopping for a camcorder this was way more affordable.3)Waterproof. This is a great feature!!!!I bought it for when we would go to the Amusement parks and get on the water rides. But not only did I use it ... Read More

This is a great camera. Exceptional functionality. Easy to use. Wonderful quality. The only problem I've had with this camera is the image stabilization -- it's *ok* but not as good as the image stabilization on my other (cheaper) camera. Other than this minor complaint, I'm extremely happy with my choice of this camera.

This camera is small and compact, and easy to use. It takes great pictures and video outdoors when there is an abundance of light. Indoors the photos and video are extremely poor. You can change the settings indoors to allow more light into the camera but the photos are just too "grainy" to be worth anything. If you know you will be shooting outdoors mostly and want a small easy to use camera that is easy to carry with you and operate then this is worth getting. If you plan on shooting indoors or without much light in the scene this camera is not for you. Here is a link to many photos I shot with this camera. As you can see the outdoor photos are really pretty good.

I can't believe I rushed in a bought 12 Sony Rechargables, before reading the reviews. I also have the LaCrosse BC900 charger (best one out there but use only 200 500 or 700ma source) I have refreshed and did every thing possible with the Sony batteries and they still are around 2000 maH ( were advertised as 2600). I wish now I would have gotten the Sanyo eneloop PreCharged AA which have a self life of over a year and still maintains 2000 maH.

This camcorder has couple good thing like size and can't think any other so far...
Cons.: Antishake doesn't work and I believe is because the small size of the apparatus. Lotz of flare when object is bright and WORST for me is the HORRENDOUS and DISTURBING sound from the autofocus (chasing object) that you will hear in your movie so you better go for manual focus, "visual noise" if cam is set at 400 and more ISO.... you need to buy a software to edit your movie (about $60).I'm not a PRO but lack of quality electronics disgust me.
Overall this cam is over priced, with SANYO brand I was expecting better performance. It's just OK to capture some moments but just that.
