Nice camera for the price. I like the auto smile feature. Lightweight and easy to use. Able to recover photos after they have been deleted. Would recommend this camera. I bought 2 of them. A pink one for my daughter and a blue one for my son. They both enjoy using these cameras.

I got this camera for 2 features, the panoramic shots, and the underwater ability. Both of which are fantastic! That's about all I have good to say about this camera. Cons: - I have a difficult time taking non-blurry photos. Even with a tripod. - The lag between the shutter button and the actual picture being taken is ridiculous. Sometimes the camera doesn't want to take the picture at all and requires 3-4 "hold the button down, wait 4-5 seconds for the camera to focus, press the button, nothing. try again" - Forget action shots. Even on the "Action" setting. - There are numerous setting on the camera, and sometimes the camera will randomly change the setting on you, mid shot, for no reason. - The battery life is about 3hours..which sucks. This is a great camera! At 400 ISO and below it takes amazingly detailed pictures without any visable noise even if photos are cropped. The learning curve to use the custom functions is a bit steep, however. It comes with a thick manual and I'm still learning all the functions. I already had a lot of 35mm pentax lenses and its compatiblity with my existing lenses are the main reason I chose this camera over another make. It works great with A series lenses with the lense set to the Auto setting. When the lense apeture ring is set to a F-stop setting manually or if you are using an older lense without the Auto setting, you have to go into the camera's custom setting program and enable the camera for use with the apeture ring set manually for the camera to function. I've had the camera for about 3 months now, and overall it's been great. I particularly love the 'double flower' mode that gets me to the short hair. I take some pictures of small machinery, like phone parts, and electronic gadgets, and the double flower mode gets me in there just fine. On the down side, i find that occasionally, the focus seems to be just bad. I think i am not giving it enuf time to think, but even when i give it time, it just blows the focus entirely. Since i have lots of memory (4 gigs), my answer to this is simply to take multiple shots of the same item. Battery time tween charges seems a bit short, but not impossible. Small size, waterproof to 10 feet, dust resistant, relatively easy to operate. All in all a good buy for outdoor activity. Extensive menu for different operations is a bit of a time sink to learn but many options make for better flexibility after going up the learning curve.

I've been using this camera for several months now for a color photography course at my school. I very much enjoy using it as it feels sturdy and fits perfectly in my hands. The only real limitation that I've had with the camera is the poor shooting speed. It wouldn't stop me from buying it over the competition, but it does encourage me to upgrade to a Nikon D90/Canon 40D whenever I get the chance to. I shoot mostly RAW files because of how well you can edit them when compared with the default jpegs. You can get some really nice shots/detail with them. I do use the RAW+ featuer so that I can quickly and easily view my photos on my computer and edit out the unuseable pictures.
