Had fun with it several different applications possible, just double A's and a meomory card 2gb...and you are all set...(I do reccamend getting one on here as they are far cheaper.) The bad... The clip...is "really tight" and tough to connect/disconnect to the mounts with the camera some might see it as a bad thing as other might want this...Depends on if you want to have several differnt application for its use. The three buttons work, but can be...very stubburn. Thats it, great fun...offers a different POV and Im looking foward to using it on car cruises!

This is the second kid's camera I have purchased for my 6 yr. old daughter and we have yet to get a kid's camera that even works. The first one was a Disney princess camera from Wal-Mart that didn't work at all so it was returned. I saw this one in a Fingerhut catalog and at the last minute I ordered it for Christmas. Big disappointment! She opened it and wanted to start using it right away. But from the second I removed it from the clear plastic casing I was shocked by how cheaply made and flimsy this camera was. I paid $50.00 for something that felt like it came from a 10 cent gum-ball machine. I reluctantly put the batteries in it just to see what would happen...nothing happened. No power what-so-ever! I like to take video of all my trips and give them to family or to the people that go with us. I put this on my Harley and took video of my last motorcycle trip. It worked out great. There is a $500 dollar version that someone makes that has more bells and whistles (i.e. like playing back what you've done) but for the money this was an excellent buy and meets my needs perfectly.

I like to take video of all my trips and give them to family or to the people that go with us. I put this on my Harley and took video of my last motorcycle trip. It worked out great. Most good digital cameras use CCD lens technology. CMOS is old, normally used for security cameras. Even though I don't own this camera (and I generally hate reading reviews by people who don't own the product), I have owned a Polaroid camera of similar specs & price - with a CMOS lens. It mysteriously died in less than a year (company would service, but it would cost almost as much as purchase price for part) and picture quality was horrible. I regret not having done my research, b/c I took pics of my first baby with it and now with my second baby on a Canon, I can totally see the difference in quality. Seems that these cameras have been plagued with battery failures. Since the Lithium Polymer batteries are built in, it's necessary to return them to the seller. Most sellers are discontinuing them for just that reason. If you MUST have a super light camera for your application, I recommend the MUSTEK SmartMini. Roughly same price or lower, with almost same specs. Their battery works OK.

I got one of these on clearance for $20. I wouldn't pay much more, you can get the same quality with most real cheap digital cameras. But I am using it as a dog cam, strapping it o the underside of a skateboard, various other ideas and it's pretty cool for that. If you want a real quality helmetcam get one of the ones that plugs into your regular camcorder and spend a couple hundred bucks on the camera alone. If you want something cheap and fun and don't need high-quality get one of these puppies.

My husband and I purchased this camera x 2 for our twins' 6th Bday presents. They took them on our family vacation the next week and we found that the batteries would not even last throughout the day. The kids had to take the batteries out of the camera to try to conserve them... and then quickly replace them when they found something they wanted to capture on 'film.' The cameras also came in a super-cheap faux-suade bag that fell apart within the first 3 days. I called Oregon Scientific and after waiting on hold for 15 minutes..
