i have used my camara without the silicon cover, even when it is shockproof it got some scratches. after using the clear cover I felt more confortable using it. i highly recommed the use.

I took my olympus stylus 1030 to Lake Powell for a week and I guarantee I would have dropped my camera playing with it in the water. This worked better than I was expecting. I read a couple reviews about similar products that didn't float cameras and was kind of worried. Well I don't have anything to be worried about now. I could throw the camera off the house boat into the water and it would stay right on the top, not really ever going under the water at all. I would also leave the camera in the water for up to 2 hours while swimming and it never absorbed water like other people stated. Mine just kept floating like it said it would. Having tired of carrying an otherwise wonderful pair of heavy Nikon binoculars to concerts and the theater, I settled on the Trackers. I was convinced by their near unanimous 5-star rating, even though I initially was tempted by the Consumers Reports "best buy" Olympus binoculars. No need to repeat the specifics of other well-written reviews. Suffice it to say that the Trackers are well-built, compact in size, light, and perform wonderfully. They very much deserve the 5-star rating that just about everyone has given them, including me.

Just received my E420 from Amazon a week ago and love it. Thank you Amazon for wonderful service and a great price on top of that. After being a 35mm enthusiest from years back, I wanted to get back into photography but of course on the digital side. The E420 is my first DSLR and am amazed at the versatility and quality of the photos I taken with it. For the price, I don't think you can get a better entry-level DSLR. I noticed that it's one of the seven cameras that Popular Photography has nominated for Camera of the Year 2008. With all the cameras on the market now, that says a lot.
