I had a 10% off coupon from Olympus for this item in its accessories store, but Amazon still had a better price. I got the neck strap I needed, and for a little more money, a spare battery and case. Some have complained about the strap being too long. But really, a camera can swing outward from a strap of any type or length. If you have a shirt pocket, your camera can fit in there while still being secured around your neck (and the strap is long enough that you won't choke yourself). I got this before a recent diving trip to go along with the Olympus 850sw. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find that it really does give you access to all the buttons and camera functions (and that it is a heavy duty little case). It was much more functional and substantial than expected. It worked great on my dives (one down to 150ft) in terms of protection. The only problem I had with it was that it fogged up even with the dessicant pack inside. The best fix for this I could find was to keep the camera cool before getting into the water. I think my fogging was caused by the big temperature difference that hit the camera after being out in the sun then hitting the water. It does what I required and I can still see & read all of my setting in the SLR so I am pleased to have purchased it from Amazon. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a better view of focusing. I could never figure out why Olympus stopped producing the printers that use these supplies. The picture quality and durability exceed anything I have seen with other printers, but I suppose something must have depressed the market. I have never had a problem with either the paper or the dye transfer foils.

While searching for a camera with the best price/performance the film experience with Olympus cameras tipped the scales to Olympus as a next possible purchase for a digital camera. Having gone through all available reviews available at the time a DSLR purchase was considered above a P&S. This purchase has opened a whole new experience and learning on digital photography and photography with SLR in general. I have not been disappointed with this purchase and recommend this camera highly. The newer models have Live View and IS but that has not diminished the value of this camera for me. The tweener may be my next upgrade. But other then that faster glass would be my next purchase for this camera.
