This is a good tripod at a good price. The only issue I've had is when I'm shooting my Canon XTi with the battery grip on and my 70-300mm lens at 300mm, the ballhead slips just a little bit. So, you've got to guess at where to set it knowing it will droop a little. But with my other lenses, there's no problem at all.

This works flawlessly!
No complaint about it whatsoever.
It only weighs a pound and is incredibly strong.
It comes with a wrench so that you can flip the top nut if you want to mount it directly to your camera (which I did) or mount a head to it.
Plus, the price is great for carbon fiber!
You won't be able to find any other product, just as good, at this price.
Buy NOOOOOOOOOOW!

After researching numerous tripods the best ones out there are beyond my price range. One's with carbon fiber is over excess of $300. I am not a pro photographer warranting me to spend such amount. I didn't want to purchase flimsy or really cheap tripod from local mega stores either . A friend of mine recommended this from his experience and he is happy with it however I never used it before I purchased it. Amazon has a good return policy so I decided it give it a try. I used enduro tripod for my night shots for last two weeks. Check out my night shots gallery.me.com/macwizz . It's easier to use and carry it comes in a case it only weighs about 5lbs with case. Set up easier and it extend to 60". Ball head release is much easier to tilt or pan the camera. I am happy with it.

Even though it is a compact, this is my first "real" tripod. Based on another review of the Induro AB1 I ordered it.

Pro's:

* Solidly built. Feels like quality when you pick it up.
* Relatively light and compact.
* Fully extended it is quite serviceable. A little springy but not at all flimsy. Reasonable considering that the legs are 4 sections.
* Head locks up tight. I am not at all concerned about using a heavier lens combo.
* Legs spread out almost flat for low angle shots. (makes for a wide footprint though, not suitable for table top use
* Nice carry case. Complete kit including head is nice.

Con's:
* Pan and tilt are a little hard to get used to, single ball head and tight lockup don't have any "soft" range. ... Read More

Overall I'm pretty satisfied. Although it seemed heavier than advertised I overlooked the weight for it's durability. The tripod legs could be a little more heav duty as I noticed a slight wobble when I mounted my Canon 5d with the battery pack, maybe too heavy for the small legs. The legs also rattled quite loudly. Despite that, it's very durable, used it on a vacation where I didn't have lots of room to take a tripod and it worked out well. It's a little pricey though, but as compared to some other monopods that I've used, you can definitely feel the difference. If you're looking for something than can take a beating, then I think this is it. I used it as a walking stick climbing over a volcano and it's durability proved itself. If price is not an issue I would recommend this monopod.

I could have spent more money but I don't think I would have gained anything. This ballhead has excellent construction, everything works smoothly, and it holds on tight.

I also like the fact that it has a level on the clamp.
