This camera is not worth it. I was only able to get a clear picture at about 20 feet and within line of site. I do not recommend wasting your money on this kit.

I was looking for a camera with an IR range of between 20 and 30 feet and thought this 4 pack would do the job. Obviously from my title I was not satisfied. The resolution is low which I knew going in but the image is blurry which makes this camera unusable. You can recognize a face at between 3 and 5 feet any further and its just to blurry. It says that the IR range is 30 feet. With my high resolution cameras (I have 3 high res cameras that overlap the area these cameras secured). I can see the IR lights from this camera out to about 15 feet past that there is very little light. Camera came out of the box not working, the image was a blur. $10 to ship to QSee and a week later, camera came back with a clear image during the day, but at night it looks like your looking through fog. Can't see a clear image at 150 ft.

I have received two of this item and neither one of them worked. The directions are contradictory with labeling. As an example: instructions state to insert 6 AAA batteries when only AA batteries will fit. The plus and minus labels in the battery department are oppisite the stamped area in the compartment. Bottom line - I have not received a working unit, therefore, I can not testify as to the quality of one that works.

Considering I had never done this before, setup was not hard at all. most of the cameras we ran used the 60 foot cables that come with the cameras except for two which were more like 150 feet away (we used RG-6 instead of supplied RG-59). Some of their outdoor cameras require a power source but that's not a big deal. Getting the system online is pretty easy too, just read the quick setup and if you have a little LAN knowledge (IE, port forwarding etc for internet access) it helps you alot.
