The lens is suprisingly easy to handle and hold. Canon has kept the weight to a minimum. The image stabilization works very well and the lens takes very good handheld photos. Selected this lens over the shorter telephoto with a 1.6x, because of the much better weight disbursement.

Like others, it would have been nice to have an extra pocket for batteries. However, it didn't negatively sway my decision about purchasing the bag. Keeping the camera safe was my first priority. I wasn't concerned about having a pocket for an extra memory card. You can by an 8GIG card and shouldn't need another one handy for a picture shoot. The camera fits snug in the bag. It's a nice fit. I like that the camera's strap is also used for the bag. It's a smart idea in order to keep the bag compact. I highly suggest purchasing this camera bag. it's a small investment for protecting your camera.

easy to use, takes great pictures, in this price range/category you can't do any better..i did a lot of research. I initially did not like the AA battery power source, but like very much now that I found good hybrid rechargeable batteries, though the shutter does lag moreso with this power source. The zoom on this camera is awesome. the 3 inch view screen is nice in size, but very hard to see in the sun..even with setting on brightest setting and the resolution is just ok. solid build quality, a little bigger than most cameras in this price range and does not fit in the hand that easy. Besides these few minor gripes, i highly recommend this camera to anyone looking for a quality point and shoot with a good zoom and 10 megapixels.

From my experience the sd870 takes great pics in almost all situations. It performs well with the Sandisk Extreme III 8gb card that I purchased with it. The thumb scroll feature has some "cool" factor to it, but I found it a little "finicky" and choose to turn that feature off and access the menu manually which is equally easy. This camera is fairly compact and light, battery life is better than a lot of its peers. It has all the manual adjustments that I prefer, which aren't alot. I use the white balance adjustment sometimes for sun/snow shots. The only things that I would change are the following: 1. Metal housing is easily scratched 2. I would prefer waterproof/dustproof All in all, I really like this camera and have no regrets after owning it for a year.

This is exactly the same charger that came with my camera. I lost mine. Ordered this one. Then found mine and returned it. I ordered a silicone skin for my camera from Amazon. My camera broke before I got the protective skin. I think I am not meant to take pictures.

I've been looking for a monopod for quite some time as no one in my area carries them. I've always been partial to Canon anyway since that's what I learned with, so I figure you can't go wrong with their monopod. I used this on my honeymoon all over Nashville and I've got to say, it's very sturdy and reliable. I didn't want to take my tripod with us because of all the traveling we were doing and the monopod small size collapsed made it very convenient. The other factor was it's length extended, I'm better then 6 feet tall and this is one of the few that would be tall enough for me and still have a great price.

I didn't spend a lot on this product...good. Pretty much out of the box I started enjoying this product...well not really, I did have to find the firewire cable but hey. This product is very handy to use, easy to learn and fairly simple to begin with...and hey for not very much cash! I have to admit...I've been having a lot of fun with this camcorder. I spent about the same money on my phone and that pisses me off...just about on a fortnightly basis. The camcorder...no complaints. Technology that works? I'll try not to get my hopes up too much.

This is a great camera for someone wanting to get started in professional digital SLR photography. It's going to be a great backup camera for us as well, it does decent in low light and not much issue with noise, though 3200ISO is pretty much unusable due to the high noise, but 1600ISO is quite acceptable if you have to get the shot. Great price now too and well worth it. Though I don't understand why people buy these cameras thinking they'll do better than a point and shoot if they're never going to take it out of Auto mode, and never going to by an external flash. If you plan on using this camera like a point and shoot consider getting the G10 instead, as it's an awesome little pocket camera and does right for the job! :)
