I got the Canon battery because it will activate the battery-usage indicator in the camera and it will be able to be recharged while attached to the camera. I think the knock-off brands, though cheaper, aren't capable of doing these things. Oh, it does increase shooting time by at least 2x. Some days are diamonds, the next days is coal. I received my SD1100 last week - it only took 3 days with free shipping. Very impressed with Amazon's shipping during the holidays. All that aside, I am also impressed with this camera! I shopped around and chose the Canon SD1100. It's so small and compact. Easy to take along everywhere but it's still packed with all the fun features. I wanted to leave a review on the color alone. I really debated on the brown. Blue would have been my second choice but the chocolate lover won out. It's a beautiful deep brown color. The photo doesn't do the color justice. It's a perfect color of chocolate. I just love it and get LOTS of compliments on it. Highly recommend the Bohemian Brown color!

I bought this printer from Amazon and everything's been great. Receiving it ahead of schedule and at a good price. The printer has performed flawlessly so far, copying, printing and scanning are real quick and it was very easy to install. Well, that doesn't go for setting up on a network but, like all the earlier reviews, it took some doing. I know I didn't follow the steps to a "T" but still got it done in a reasonable amount of time. The cartridges will be costly at about $15-$17 each, times 5 (ouch) but, what printer doesn't cost much for ink?? The footprint is reasonable and great for my needs. I do a lot of printing and I highly recommend this printer!

The case unfortunately doesn't give camera full protection. It leaves the camera inside exposed in three places (top wrist strap cut, and two side cuts) wich is enaugh to get moisture or dust in. Unfortunately, besides the sleek size and leather material, there is not much benefits. IT IS ALL ABOUT STYLE. But for real protection I got a $7 Samsonite with a zip and also with a sleek pocket for your extra battery and memory card. The battery is an essential if you plan to fill that 2GB+ memory card in one session. In best quality one battery lasts for under 2GB worth of pictures on my Canon 880IS, which is not much for a heavy traveller like me. The two straps are a fashion deal of personal preference. I bought this camera about 15 days back. I have used it a couple of times indoors, outdoors and indoors with low-light conditions. Used correctly, this camera does a great job of taking good quality images. I had to play with the camera for about 15-20 mins to get familiar with it so I could take the best pictures possible. My sister owned a Powershot A530 before this one and i had the same experience with that too. This camera fits nicely in your jeans pocket and is quite light. I think this is the best you can do without going into the prosumer +$2000 level. Here is what sets it apart from the average cheap camcorder: 1. The ability to shoot progressive frames. This is invaluable for those filming for the internet. Plus, progressive frames compress better; one of the reasons store bought movies look better than average joe's. 2. The ability to white balance. Especially with blue/green screening, this is very helpful. Good luck finding it on the average consumer camcorder. 3. Native 1920x1080 sensor times 3. This camera is not FakeD - it's real HD. When it scales, it scales DOWN, not up. No even the only battery, I have the grip and I buy one BP511 from canon and two from Ultralast. The one which came in the camera its dead after 7 months not even with a hard use. The other one, after 12months dead (I use that with my previous 30D) The ultralast batteries still working good. Just 15$ I pay last year for those, 1600mAh.

Researched and researched cameras until I was researched OUT! Saw this little jewel and decided (based on other reviews) I should try it. SOOOOO glad I did! Human-friendly camera, easy to use, GREAT pics and just what else could you ask for? Oh yeah....was at a GREAT price. Got an HP camera a couple years ago, cost much more and wasn't anywhere as user-friendly as this one. Plus, it kept "eating" batteries so couldn't keep it working. Eveyone that has seen this one and the pics taken are astounded by them. If you're looking for a reasonably priced, easy to use camera that will delight you with beautiful results of your efforts....BUY THIS ONE!!!!
