This camera is no longer made. I followed professional reviewers' advice and tracked one down. I find it as billed, including the plastic feel. However, that one negative is easy to forgive and forget considering all the positives. The one I like best is that in auto mode it is easy to use and as I learn, the camera has lots of room to grow with me. Next best, the small size makes it handy to tote.

What can I say. This is the replacement eyecup for a canon rebel. Like the original it has plastic retainer clips which often break and cause you to lose your eyecup. The price is right, its a snap to stick on.

I have no complaints about the image quality and performance of this lens, but I wanted to post this review to note a problem I had with it that eventually led me to selling the lens and upgrading to another lens, in case this helps others with their decision. The lens is rather long and heavy, and I found that I had consistent problems in anything other than the most brightly-lit conditions in achieving a shutter speed fast enough to prevent hand shake blur. Apart from using this lens with a tripod, I consistently was frustrated by having all my handheld shots ruined by hand shake blur. I eventually decided to upgrade to the same lens (70-200mm f/4) but the model with IS (image stabilization) and have been much happier with my output using the lens. Pros: Easy to install around camera. Gives access to all camera features. Takes sharp, clear pictures under water or in air. Has helpful warnings about what to watch for to ensure no leaks. Though obviously quite a bit larger than the naked camera, still surprisingly compact. Looks durable and well-made. Cons: Has loose parts that could get mislaid when not actually in use on the camera--needs a drawstring bag or something to keep everything together. Notes: haven't yet tested it under more than a little water.

I have several Canon products including many generations of compact cameras, SLR cameras (film and digital) and camcorders and always buy the Canon branded accompanied case or holder. With a lot of Canon history, this is by far the cheapest last minute thought out camera case made with the Canon badge on it. If you place anything small or loose in the case, you risk it falling out from the slots in the bottom of the case. The strap has decent clips that attach firmly to the case, but the strap itself is very thin and cheap. The construction of the case is just poor. The case is sized right to the Canon HF11 and supports the Extended battery BP-819 and thus does provide the necessary protection which seems to be the only criteria by Canon for this case. Works perfectly for the 18-200mm lens. However, you will not be able to put the lens cap on/off easily with the hood on UNLESS you also have a UV filter, which extends the lens out a little bit.
