The filters are plastic, no glass. I needed some cheap filters and well that's what these are. Don't be fooled by the supposed $60 price that has been marked down to $10. The filters came dirty and one has a spot that will not come out. If you have an expensive camera/lense don't try and cut costs on the filter, buy a Hoya.

The tripod is only about 8 inches tall, so you'll need a table and that isn't clear on the description. However, the entire package was a good buy. It arrived quickly and everything was intact. Very good experience!

This camera has all of these features. Because I have used Canon cameras in the past, the dials and buttons are almost intuitive now although there are some differences which were easy to learn. My family and I go up to the Yellowstone area every year and enjoy looking for wolves and bears. This year I decided to do like the professionals and buy a spotting scope. I found a highly rated one on Amazon, but then I stumbled on these binoculars. While the scope was good, the binoculars were amazing. The main advantage of a scope is that it holds still so you can see the animals. The problem is sometimes people bump the scope with their eyes thus moving and it and inconveniently the animals decide to move as well. With these binoculars the wide field of view makes it easy to find the animals and with image stabilization there is no problem seeing them clearly. I'm disappointed! After reading many reviews and all the technical specifications, I did not foresee this difficulty. Today I purchased this machine to install on my Macintosh, operating system OS X.4, which all the specs say is compatible, but the installation CD states that it will work only with operating system OS X.5. So now what? Back to the store I go, I guess. False advertising I'd call it.

I wanted to like this product (of course I did, I bought the darned thing), but I just couldn't. Instead, I was compelled to return it. Why did I return it? Because it, no matter the adjustment I made, was not worth the $150.00 I paid for it. I bought it with the hope that it would provide higher quality sound than the sound provided by my Canon HF-100's built-in microphone(s). It doesn't. I was also hoping that, by using it's "shotgun" setting, I could cut out extraneous sound and have only the sound from directly forward of the camcorder; ufortunately, this mic's shotgun mode doesn't do so well in this respect.
