I had 4GB card free with purchase of this Garnet colored camcorder. It lasted about 1.1 hours in SP quality. I took this to some caverns at Shenandoah National Park and the videos turned out to be OK. Battery life was better than my team caver's Sony flash camcorder. In addition to being so cute and made in Japan (hard to find these days), it is quite impressive in low light settings. I just used easy mode in the caves. At first, when I checked random reviews here (mostly negative), I was worried about low light in the caves. I won't repeat what other reviewers said. Takes the best pictures I've ever seen on a digital camera. Pictures are sharp and bright. An amazing product. Few drawbacks however as nothing is perfect although this one comes pretty close. Power plug is NOT included with the product; have to purchase that separately. Also, the power button is fairly weak and feels like it could fail any minute.

I brought this camera for my first trip to London this past October. I am not a picture taking person, but I wanted to document my first trip to the United Kingdom. Trust me, I barely knew what I was doing as I didn't do more than skim through the owners manual (a mistake). However, all of my pictures came out wonderfully. I mean they are lead crystal clear. Even blown up on my laptop, they retain their sharpness. I took many shots of London's famous double deck buses while moving to see which ones would be keepers. All shots of the buses are as if they are frozen sharply in place. I had it set on auto for most of my trip. All of my pictures are out door shots, from early morning to mid evening. Here's my personal pro/con list after I took this lens out to DC for a weekend. Pros: Extremely wide - WOW! Lightweight. Can't believe how light this. Probably the lightest among wide angle lens. Interesting effects can be achieved which is normally difficult in normal zoom lens. Fast focus, and very quiet. Cons: My most expensive lens. For sure will take a bite out of your wallet. Bad lens distortion wide open 10-12mm. Can be corrected slightly in photoshop, but sucks for architecture because lines become bent. Overall, a great lens for traveling. One of my favorite lens.

This review is for; Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS SLR Lens For those that are unaware this is actually Canon's third version of a 18-55 kit lens. The first lens was your basic 18-55 EF-S 1:3.5-5.6 (the lens I got with my XTi). Next came the same lens, but with a USM motor (very limited availability, probably because Canon had the IS version in the works). The third version is the 18-55 EF-S 1:3.5-5.6 with IS (image stabilization). So far, I have been very satisfied with this lens as I have used it to replace the 18-55 kit lens that originally came with my XTi. The IS really helps to keep images sharp when using the camera for hand-held shots only! Don't use the IS when your camera is mounted on a tripod! I own canon professional SLR's so I know from past experience Canon's policies about third party products that work with their stuff; they fight it tooth and nail and try to keep a monopoly on everything. My SLR's use the venerable 512 battery packs, fortunately somebody was able to reverse engineer those and sell them reasonably instead of the 80 plus dollars Canon wants for an original pack. Don't get me wrong, Canon makes good stuff they just have a really inflated view of what folks are able to pay for things if you ask me. I love my FS100 it's a great camcorder, well worth what I paid for it but the battery packages are outrageously priced for it. I received my SD1100 last week - it only took 3 days with free shipping. Very impressed with Amazon's shipping during the holidays. All that aside, I am also impressed with this camera! I shopped around and chose the Canon SD1100. It's so small and compact. Easy to take along everywhere but it's still packed with all the fun features. I wanted to leave a review on the color alone. I really debated on the brown. Blue would have been my second choice but the chocolate lover won out. It's a beautiful deep brown color. The photo doesn't do the color justice. It's a perfect color of chocolate. I just love it and get LOTS of compliments on it. Highly recommend the Bohemian Brown color!

This is a very good filter. I had a B+W filter that broke when a friend dropped my camera. I decided to try this Canon filter and I am impressed by its performance.

These rechargable batteries and charging unit have saved me untold agrivation from dead or untimely battery failure. One of the worst was needing to take a last picture or two and have the batteries die in the camera and no new ones available. If you take pictures with modern high power consuming cameras with big memories, you will need one of these. This kind of agrivation will be a thing of the past.

I love, love, love this lens. It's a bit long so it's not ideal for a walk around lens...but MAN, oh man does it capture some amazing shots. I first tried it out on a windy day at the lake with my nieces and nephews and caught some absolutely amazing shots. The clarity of the images even at full zoom is incredible, and don't even get me started on the bokeh! It is just a wonderful lens...now if Canon would only make it a bit more squat, it would be perfect!!
