It's cheap and it fits great. It's used to keep the sun from getting in the camera and washing out your shot. I bought the "Canon" brand because even though they over-charge for all their stuff, it's well constructed and you know it's gonna fit.

This is a nice camera case. Do not confuse this product for a camera bag, because that is not what it is. It is a camera case. It holds and protects your camera. Thats it. Nothing more. That is its intended function -- and it should be reviewed as such. Fits my new Canon SX110 IS perfectly. Provides a good amount of padding around the camera, for a little bit of extra piece of mind protection. I especially like how there is a hole for the strap on the camera to come through the top, with the case closed, like older Canon cases used to have. Nice touch. Case looks quite nice as well.

What can I say? It's a battery! It powers the camera. It holds a charge. Eventually it will wear out. It's nice having a spare battery for backup. Maybe I didn't need to get it, because the Canon battery is pretty big, the battery charger that comes with the camera is pretty compact, and I'll probably take it along when I go on motorcycle rides. Still, it will be good to rotate the batteries in my camera, as they can only go through a finite number of discharge/recharge cycles. Plus, I might be on the Nez Perce Rally out in the boonies of Idaho, nowhere near line current... That spare battery will be worth its weight in plutonium if we're three days in and the camera needs a fresh battery just when Bigfoot decides to raid our camp! Hope I can ... Read More

The Canon Remote Switch does exactly what you'd expect a cable switch to do. There is nothing difficult about using it, and it opens up a whole world of possibilities for lengthy exposures, as well as non-shaky stop-motion animation. I am very happy with this product.

You really need a lens hood for the EF 70-300mm lens if you are shooting in strong sunlight as the lens is prone to sunspots. Beside the fact that this hood makes it look like you are wielding a bazooka it does the job is is meant to well. I can not tell you this is good value, $40 for a cheap bit of plastic is an amazing rip off. If you can find one manufactured by another company go for it, otherwise suck it up -- there is nothing you can do.

The lens can be found on my camera 80% of the time. As a wedding photographer the range is great for tight spaces where brides get ready and reception shots. The 2.8 aperture is great and where I keep it most of the time. Why a 4 instead of 5? Does need to be serviced at least once a year to keep focusing sharp. Canon factory repair can service it no problem and then it focus' beautifully. Before I send it in I notice it back focusing.

I had 4GB card free with purchase of this Garnet colored camcorder. It lasted about 1.1 hours in SP quality. I took this to some caverns at Shenandoah National Park and the videos turned out to be OK. Battery life was better than my team caver's Sony flash camcorder. In addition to being so cute and made in Japan (hard to find these days), it is quite impressive in low light settings. I just used easy mode in the caves. At first, when I checked random reviews here (mostly negative), I was worried about low light in the caves. I won't repeat what other reviewers said. For files, it was not organized as per time sequence. I did not initialized the memory card and not sure it caused the case. It should not be. I'll try again in this weekend and update my reviews. Nice quality product from Canon. It allows me to use the higher qualtiy lens cover by Canon that I also purchased as opposed to the flimsy one that came with my S5IS.

I was using a XTi before, then moved up to the 50D. Originally, i was only for the enhanced pix count. When started using it, at least two things exceeded my original expectations. 1. the high speed shots when am doing birding -- incrediblly caught each frame thought cculd be missed. this definitely provides me other new possibilities for sporting as well as HDR bracketing. 2. the live view AF-ON's live and face-detect modes. i could not over state how big it helped out for the shot on my wife's food blogging. She said it won't be possible to get such a high mark now without those those helps. 3. one more thing, the LCD and those customizable features...awesome. i like the IQ too, incredible.

This is my work horse lens in low light. It is amazing no matter which camera body I stick it on (20D, 30D or 5D) and is super sharp. One of my favorites. It is heavy but so worth it. :)
