The case is functional and well constructed. I chose this case based upon Amazon's recommended-accessories offer when purchasing a Sony DCS-W170 camera. However, I would be more please if the case were a touch larger. The camera alone is a tight squeeze to fit into the case and renders the small zippered pocket is useless. By itself the zippered pocket is too small to hold anything other and a memory stick - the "G" battery is too large to fit into the pocket.

I thought I ordered 2 1GB cards. Instead I got 1 2GB card. I can still use it however having 2 cards would have been better.

The only thing this filter is good for is protecting the lens from physical damage (dust, prints, scratches, water spots, etc.) Some say that cheap Tiffen filters degrade the quality of the images, but I haven't noticed any degradation. If you want a filter that will actually improve your images, do not get this filter, go with a circular polarizer or a neutral density filter instead. It's better to crack this filter than crack your lens.

Using this on my Canon f/1.8 50mm lens, it's fantastic. Great price, great quality, can't go wrong.

I've owned this lens for just over a year now. My other lens is a 17-85mm, and while I use that one when I go outdoors and/or want a wider range, I keep the 50mm on my camera about 90% of the time. These days I'm mostly taking pictures of my 10month old son, and this lens is fabulous for that. Allows me to take great clear, crisp shots indoors with low-ish light. I'll agree it might not be as nice as the 1.4, but for 1/3 the price that's to be expected. If you can afford to go higher, then sure, buy the 1.4 or another more expensive lens. But if you're strapped for cash and want/need a great lens for portraits and close-ups, this is the lens for you.

I have several SanDisk Extreme III compact flash cards: 2Gig and 4Gig cards. I've never had a problem with any of them, and they are fast, not only to write to (if you have a camera that can write a lot in a burst, as I do, both a Canon 30D and a Canon 40D) but it's also really fast to copy your pictures off of these cards to a PC, especially if your PC's reader can process them quickly! On my 30D and 40D cameras, I save both the large JPG and the RAW files to the SanDisk cards, and I can shoot in the mode that will take many per second, and these cards have always been able to keep up with the cameras. The case unfortunately doesn't give camera full protection. It leaves the camera inside exposed in three places (top wrist strap cut, and two side cuts) wich is enaugh to get moisture or dust in. Unfortunately, besides the sleek size and leather material, there is not much benefits. IT IS ALL ABOUT STYLE. But for real protection I got a $7 Samsonite with a zip and also with a sleek pocket for your extra battery and memory card. The battery is an essential if you plan to fill that 2GB+ memory card in one session. In best quality one battery lasts for under 2GB worth of pictures on my Canon 880IS, which is not much for a heavy traveller like me. The two straps are a fashion deal of personal preference. I received the tripod and quickly saw that it was not of a very high quality construction. I had concerns of how long the grips that hold the leg extensions would hold up,and I did not like that there is a removable piece that connects the camera to the tripod head. The lock mechanism for that piece also concerned me that it may not hold up over time. I guess the tripod is functional for the price but the value may not hold up if you need to buy a replacement tripod.
