Haven't really used this so far but am impressed with what I have seen. I take my photos in RAW and it handles them well albeit a little slowly when scrolling through. A recommended product!

I purchased this item a couple of months ago. After using it, I am now convinced that it will now be a "regular" in my camera bag. What I like most about it, first and foremost, is its ease of use. I do indeed find the operation to be relatively intuitive. In fact, I did not read the instruction manual prior to my initial use of the P-7000. Additionally, I particularly like the fact that I can completely fill my compact flash memory card, easily transfer all of my precious photos to the 7000, review them and then feel secure that they are safe. I would highly recommend this product.

It's a fine battery. What else can I say!? Useful for field work when backing up your images.

OK, I'll grant you it's pretty expensive, and the use of it isn't immediately obvious to anyone who doesn't already own one. But let me explain: I'm a semi-pro photographer, and given today's travel restrictions and airline weight limits it isn't always practical to carry a laptop computer with a bulky charger in order to back up and view photos I take on the fly. The Epson P-6000 isn't much larger than maybe 4 decks of cards stacked together, and it weighs only about two pounds. (The charger, a standard 9 volt with a transformer, weighs a couple of ounces.) BE AWARE, though, this unit ONLY ACCEPTS COMPACT FLASH (CF) AND SD CARDS. NOT MINI-SDs; NOT xDs; NOT SONY MEMORY STICKS. This makes it perfect for Nikon users and the many point-and-shoot camera units utilizing SD cards. Read More

What it is: Its great storage device with a SD and DF cards slots so you can dump and view photos on the go. Great way to view photos and video other than passing around the camera. Why its great: While not all files are viewable it will "take" any file format. You can take all you pictures and video off your digital camera without missing a beat. Very functional. Also you can record video which is great for watching movies on a plane. What its not: A professional photo viewer. It can handle RAW and JPEG but the quality is not something you want to judge you images on. Again its great to just dump photos and then share them. It can play music but its not an ipod. Good amount of storage and you can also watch video recorded in MP4 format. The screen resolution could be better but a good buy and reasonable quaality with a variety of storage card choices.

The Digital Foci arrived at my daughter's house on schedule and in great condition (Xmas present for my wife). When I looked at the Foci I could not get it to turn on ... even after charging it. An email to Digital Foci stating the problem was responded to in less than an hour and I found there was a user error ... lock was on so the Foci could not be accidentally started. Great people to deal with!! Now I hope my wife likes it.

I was intrigued by the concept but in the past heard stories of the "black box" failing. But I have put this through its paces and it works great. It has slots for cards (CF, SD, etc) or you can connect directly to your camera via USB or your computer via USB or eSata. The unit verifies the data during transfer and can tell you when the HD is failing. Speaking of which it uses a standard laptop drive and is designed so the user can upgrade to a larger drive on his own. The Nexto DI doesn't just backup images - it also can backup your video camcorder. With the unit you can see a file structure and backup your computer itself (think itune files). But with its OTG system you don't need a computer when you are on assignment. I know many different brands show up when your search Nexto but my 2 cents is stick ... Read More
